Located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, milepost 86.1, it has a little lake on the back side, and several hikes and mountains very close. Rooms are nice and clean, and quiet. The restaurant offers a good amount of choices

Going back home to VA, I realize how much I missed the warm hospitality and slow southern charm of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The wonderful staff at the Peaks of Otter were incredibly attentive and patient with me as I tried to plan, reschedule, and plan some more with every hurdle possible for my wedding. I fell in love with my husband on Mt. Sharp Top and I had the privilege of celebrating that love at the most gorgeous venue possible! Thank you to the talented chefs who impressed an old school italian family with their cooking, the front desk staff that answered my millions of questions, Nicole and Dawn for helping me coordinate the event while I was in Texas, and every other staff member for helping me celebrate the happiest day of my life! Words cannot express my joy and gratitude. I will certainly be coming back every anniversary ❤️

For a restful place to refresh your soul, there are few places better than Peaks of Otter. The location of the Lodge, facing a lake, surrounded by mountains, abundant opportunities to see wildlife, pleasant trails to hike and a nice restaurant majes it a perfect get away.

I needed a little reset and ultimately decided to stay here. I have no regrets! Everyone I came in contact with was friendly, the staff was great and the food is good. I recommend the Crab Cakes! The room was fine (a little dusty and a few webs but you are in the mountains) I love that there is a privacy balcony and the view was AMAZING! I drove through the mountains and its simply breathtaking. I plan on coming back with my family when the foliage changes. Thanks again to the great staff!

The Peaks of Otter Lodge is a favorite on the Blue Ridge, and so unique. Good rooms, beautiful scenery and access to the mountains and trails, and great staff! Amber took care of us at dinner (good prices, great drinks, and a good selection), and Doris was there for breakfast (full, hot buffet, the works) great service from everyone.

What a beautiful place. We happened to stop by the lodge for something to eat, and had the pleasure of having Malinda as our waitress. Very pleasant and personable!! Rooms are dated, but it was very clean, has everything we need and we couldn’t beat the view.
