I personally love the Peaks, always have always will. I keep seeing reviews about the place being “unsanitary, or having bed bugs, or even terrible food and hospitality” when’s it’s always been quite the opposite for my husband and I. It has always been the best atmosphere to get away and enjoy nature and peace and quiet. And this trip was no different! The whole experience from check in - to check out was fantastic. A younger blonde lady with glasses, I believe her name...
The scenery is absolutely beautiful, but management is a joke, and I have never met a slower or more rude bar tend staff.
I was polite, patient, kind, please thank you..... waited 35 minutes to order a single bottle of beer. I was met with fierce dirty looks and constantly being overlooked while being next in the long long line. Thats just my experience. The rest of our group had much worse experiences with pretty much every other point of the staff.

Gorgeous setting! Rooms are older style, but who cares with that view. They have all the basics. Great jumping off point for hiking or driving the Parkway. I prefer the second floor so nobody is walking by the room or making noise above me. Nice balconies.
