Great attributes but the wine was really lacking for me. If you enjoy sweet sweet wines this might be for you. My boyfriend and I found the wines overly sweet and some to taste very medicine like, unfortunately. Beautiful land and this would be a great experience for someone looking for the apple and grape picking experience. Picked up some jams and other items in the cute little shop inside. Disappointingly didn’t like any wines enough to purchase.

I used Harvest Host to find this location after Hurricane Helene shut everything in western VA and NC down for the foreseeable future.

The owners and employees at the winery were friendly and I got to hear the history of the orchard and winery first hand from the owners. The winery is nestled in the valley with the Peaks of Otter mountain ridge as the scenery.

It's a great place to stop and relax for a bit as you take in the sights and atmosphere at this serene location.

Food and drinks: The winery sells many selections of food and wine, vinegar, and cider made from apples grown on the property.

You gota try the cider donuts too.

What a great find! Unique wines with picturesque store nestled in the hills of Virginia. We stayed here with Harvest hosts, wish we had time to stay longer and really get to enjoy the winery!

Wish the prices were a bit lower but they allow you to eat apples while in the orchard so that’s awesome! Tip: Bring a bottle of water to rinse the apples off before trying them.

Bought the $25 bag to pick apples, since it was 105 degrees today we decided to split up and get apples separately to hurry up. We were confronted by an older man fussing at us accusing us of stealing apples. I had the bag in our van with the air on and doors open and my daughter was running 4 apples up the hill to put in the bag. We were looking forward to the wine tasting and buying the pumpkin wine and donuts. Decided to leave and will not be back unfortunately. Not kid friendly. None of the trees are labeled.

Stopped here on a Sunday just after they opened. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was good. They have a large selection of unique and different wines. A lot of sweet wines. You get a tasting of 8 wines for 8 dollars. You can also pick your own apples or grapes. Plus they have animals you can feed.

The staff is extremely friendly. The Winery/farm is family owned and the atmosphere definitely reflects that. The wine was delicious and there were lots of options to choose from.

This is such a wonderful little winery. We met the owner and he was a really nice guy. He had wonderful stories to tell. Everyone was very friendly and the wines here are so delicious. It is such a country wonderful setting and there's fun things to do with kids as well. We would love to come back anytime we come back into town.

My FAVORITE winery, they have soooo many GREAT wines to choose from, no matter what your pallet likes!! The setting is wonderful as well, not stuffy at all. The kids liked all the games and the small "Critter" area they had!!!

The beginning of the experience started out weird with the lady being kind of smart if we asked any questions, but then she was nice after we tipped her and talked to us for a minute. We sat around and drank the wine and it ended up being a lovely experience until we decided to go see the animals. The animals definitely don't look malnourished at all so we know they are taken care of and fed, but there was two dead baby sheep, one looked fresh and the other looked like it's been there for days, and two adult sheep look like they were close to dying. I understand the winter can be hard for animals and they can die, but the area you have customers come down to feed animals should be checked on more. It was super unsettling.
