I'd give a 0 star if I was able. first time entering a bar at 22 it will be my last as well. I figured like any establishment that if you order alcohol you have to show ID apparently I walked by the bouncer without an ID being showed hard to see when sitting in the corner and I was told to leave very rudely without being able to explain or ask questions and to not come back .one thing is for certain I will not be back

Just a humble, no frills, not over the top dive bar. Good food, reasonable prices and great people. I have had burgers multiple times. The buns seem to be a nice softer sourdough that holds up for the size if the burger. Parking is free on after 3pm Saturday, After 8pm on Wednesdays and every other day after 5pm. You have to move you car before the morning and if you park Friday night before 6am Saturday because of farmers market. They will tow you but it is a public lot not champs.

My husband and I have been residents of Blacksburg, VA for 8 years and have been going to to Champ’s for 8 years+ the time we were students prior to moving back to the area. Tonight we were told we needed to leave because they accused my husband of smoking in the bathroom (which he was not). We had been smoking on the balcony (in the building directly outside of the restaurant), which we were told we could not do, and we had to go downstairs, and we happily obliged. Once we were finished we came back upstairs to finish our beers and cheese fries. Then we were immediately told we had to get our food to go and leave. Unfortunately there was no conversation or anything, it was just, “take your food and get out.” My husband used to play darts here every single Wednesday so it was a frequent visit. I do not recommend coming here, even after 8+ years.

Bartenders are very helpful and quick, even when it's super packed. Very spacious. Nice set up, even Dart boards. Has an Upstairs and a back patio connects to downstairs. Great place.
