“Stopped by the adjacent Moon Hollow Brewery and what a delightful food option. If I've ever had a better chicken sandwich I can't remember one. Super crunchy chicken on a bed of pickles with delicious sauce and a roll that let's you eat it like a real sandwich not a giant mess on your plate. A creative menu leaves plenty of options to prompt multiple return visits. Our Greek salad was a home run too.”

“I work at Best Buy across the street and recently went out on a TV delivery, not realizing it was for the owner of the Brewhaus. He let us know the TV was actually meant to go to the Brewhaus itself, so we offered to drop it off there for him. “I've been coming here multiple times each week now, and the barista surprised me today by remembering my order (large matcha latte, half-and-half, no syrup and an espresso, double-shot). Their espressos are always perfectly dialed in and sweet, I even got a single shot today and I was skeptical because they are notoriously hard to dial in as they require a different basket and a different pressure profile. But it defied my expectations and was really good.

I was surprised to find the best espresso in the NRV area, IMO, in a quaint small cafe in the basement of a church. Their vibes are immaculate (low-key indie music plays from two speakers from the front and back of the area), the coffee arguably the best in the area, and baristas friendly and knowledgeable. They made me a cortado the first time I went there in 2024, even though it wasn't on the menu, and I remember thinking, I've gone to so many places and even pulled shots myself, but I had no idea there's such good coffee so near to home.

At that time, there weren't many options, Mill Mountain coffee felt burnt to me and Idego Coffee seemed to cater to people who liked to drown their coffee in milk and syrups, Bollo's drip coffee was decent but their espresso was horribly dialled in. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this unassuming place brewing really world-class espresso, and over the years, I have always brought friends visiting Blacksburg here.

I'm grateful for them and I hope they stay in business forever.

PS: I forgot to mention that they use very high quality ceremonial matcha, the quality is evident in the vibrancy of the colour and the rich taste.

“Stopped in after my daughter’s swim meet. She had the Shrimp Alfredo and I had the Greek Salad with a medium rare salmon. I make the best shrimp Alfredo around and daughter agreed that I did until she had this. It was creamy and the shrimp was prepared to perfection. My salad was fresh with olives cut in a great size. The salmon was beyond belief. We will be back.”

They have such a wide variety from breakfast pasta, an amazing red sauce, pizzas, egg sandwiches (Omg DELICIOUS), burgers are INSANELY good and don’t even get me started on the pumpkin cannolis!!! I love this place!! Everything is handmade and fresh!! It doesn’t get any better than this!! They always have new dishes every week and they are to die forrr. If you haven’t made a stop at Not Your Mama’s Pasta make sure you do next time you’re walking around the market!! You will not regrets your decision!! There were so many flavors and options to choose from, and I appreciated being able to order from a screen—it gave me extra time to decide since it was my first visit. “I love this place. Whenever I have a craving for Thai food and can get downtown, this is where I go. Amazing Tom Kha Gai soup and Tom Yum soup. I love the drunken Udon fusion dish they do. Same great flavor, different satisfyingly toothsome noodles. I love their green and red curry and Panama curry as well as their spring rolls. I’m so happy I found this little place. Highly recommended. They do have the ability to have groups for meetings as well.”

“Best value dining hall on campus by far. For only $5, it’s all you can eat. The food quality isn’t necessarily the #1 on campus, but it’s still really good. There’s several different stations offering a range of food, including (but not limited to): Asian (rotates between Korean, Thai, Indian, and Viet), pizza & pasta, sliders & fries, a salad bar, dessert bar, and Soup of the Day. My favorite station is the yogurt parfait section where there’s a bunch of toppings to add to your parfait, like blueberries, peaches, granola, and more.”

Here at Dietrick Hall, you will find dining ans social areas.Dietrick Hall is home to the D2 dining center, which is located on the second floor. This is the only all-you-can-eat style dining facility on campus; however, the food is still top quality and locally sourced for the most part.You will also find a campus favorite here, known by the students as DX while the proper name is D-Express. Located on the first floor on the side closest to Owens Dinning Hall; this is a grab-and-go type place with fast service, good selection, decent prices, and quality products. DX is open most days until 2:00 am making it one of the most popular late night hangouts on campus.Finally, if you are craving coffee, tea, ice cream, or other sweet treat then you may want to check out Deet's Place. Located on the first floor in the side closest to West End Market you will find this laid back dining area. With great coffee, teas, ice cream, milkshakes, and sweet treats this is a great place to visit.”

“DX is a great place to grab a late night meal. It is mainly beneficial to on campus students, who depend on dining halls for their meals. However, when you haven’t had dinner yet and the dining halls are all closed, it can be a real lifesaver. The food is simple (mainly burgers and wraps), but when you’re starving late at night, you’re not complaining one bit.”

“Went in saturday afternoon around five o'clock. I was the only customer there were two employees. I wanted a coke and a pizza. The girl brought me the coke. I waited and waited and after getting impatient. I called out. I'm ready to order. Altogether, I called out three times over a ten minute span. Nothing. So I left really angry. How's that automatic built-in gratuity working out guys. Do you not grasp how important repeat business is. I've been a patron for the last six years ever since I moved to Blacksburg. Pretty good pizza, horrible service, auto gratuity, maybe why the service sucks, and a $2.70 fountain coke. They have a beer for $1.50. I'll be asking around for a new pizza place. Employees could take a little more pride in there personal appearance. The place is bordering on a freak show since they opened there dining room.”

“Have ordered food for takeout pretty often from here and eaten in a few times. It's a little expensive, but you do get a large portion of food. All my orders have been correct, and I never really have had any issues.

Vegetarian options: There are a decent amount of meatless selections without having to specialize an order. All plates made to order.

Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped packing out front anlong with ramp on the curb, lots of room to move around inside without restrictions. No power assist/ auto front door though.”

They got the food ready in a reasonable amount of time and the build-your-own hibachi bowl was delicious, fresh, cooked right in front of you, and in big portions!
