“Visited VT and needed a place close by to grab some food and coffee. This place was super close to our hotel and got good reviews. The menu is extensive, it’s roomy, clean, seat yourself for breakfast and the food was amazing. My ONE complaint; the staff seemed angry about being there at 7 am and having to serve people. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived and my son and I smiled and were very pleasant and thanked them every step of the way. The quiche I had was SO good and the portions of both meals were big. I just wish everyone hadn’t looked so unhappy and had smiled and were a bit kinder. I’d still go back againVegetarian options: Plenty of options to choose from.“
“Cabo Fish Taco is best known for their delicious tacos and signature margaritas. I have always been impressed by the food, their delicious house-made margarita mix, and the top-notch service. Cabo Fish Taco is a highly recommended establishment for food and drinks.Pictured is a signature drink created by one of the bartenders, Julie. It's named the "High Tide." Although it looks very sugary and sweet like a Sonic Ocean Water, it's actually very light and refreshing.“
“My family and I had the pleasure of dining at The Cellar Restaurant in Blacksburg, Virginia, on the eve of St. Patrick’s Day.It was our very first visit to Blacksburg, a trip prompted by our daughter’s interest in attending Virginia Tech. We couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the vibrant college town life than our experience at The Cellar. From the moment we stepped in, we were enveloped in a fun, lively, and engaging atmosphere that truly set the tone for the evening. The service was nothing short of exceptional, striking the perfect balance of attentiveness and warmth, making us feel right at home. Our culinary journey began with appetizers of calamari and curly fries, both of which were a hit at our table. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and cooked, while the curly fries were a delightful twist on a classic favorite. For our main course, we opted for pizza, which was a revelation in itself. The freshness of the ingredients and the skill with which it was prepared shone through with every bite, leaving us savoring the flavors long after the meal had ended. What made the evening even more special was the opportunity for our daughter to experience the fun and bustle of college life in Blacksburg, surrounded by the warmth of her family. It was a glimpse into a potential future that was both exciting and comforting. We are already looking forward to our next visit to The Cellar Restaurant. It’s not just the exceptional food or the impeccable service that draws us back, but the warmth and vibrancy of the atmosphere that makes it a staple in Blacksburg. To the wonderful team at The Cellar, thank you for an unforgettable evening and for making our first visit to Blacksburg truly special.See you again soon!“
“Rising Silo is the best local farm brewery around along with the farm fresh food and produce market of Glade Road Growing. A beer with a beautful sunset, chirping frogs and a stroll through the farm, leaves you wishing you didnt have to leave farm life. Life is better at the farm.“
“I am a food reviewer that has been traveling all over the country this year. I have been traveling since 2013 and this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been too. The one thing about greens was there excellent server which I think his name was Abdullah if I remember. He treated me and my wife with such care and always had a smile on his face. The service here really made this experience delightful. Abdullah recommended that we should try the California roll and it was the best thing I have ever tasted in my life. Greens is going to be very high on my list of restaurants I have visited this year.“
“This place has the best potato salad I’ve ever had. I’m not kidding, I love some potato salad, and I don’t know if it’s because they left the skin on or the hint of Dijon mustard, but I’m telling you, it’s incredible, life changing, never been done before, amazing potato salad“
“Fully remodeled historical building is clean with character. Several beers hit the mark, and I appreciated a range of non IPA choices. The Stout is especially delicious and the brown ale a close second. The creative menu items alone are worth returning to sample. Rabbit egg rolls were flavorful and surprisingly light. A small but nicely chosen array of whiskies will please the sippers in your crew. Well done all around!“
“A place we visit almost everytime we are in Blacksburg. We love the vibe and the setting. Great bar and taps. My husband likes stouts and he was delighted , they had his fare. They have a great variety of beer and a big menu. The pizza is decent. We are picky and can't call it great, but it is good for the area. We enjoy it.Definitely a must check out place.“
“Came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty quiet and had a nice experience overall. I ended up going for a turkey sandwich, which was actually pretty good! The bread was the best part of it- I love sourdough and it really hit the spot. Very affordable spot and I'd definitely come back.“
“Stopped to eat here on our way to Tennessee. Tavern was very quaint, our server, Kaya who was so pleasant and was very attentive. Food was amazing!! Delicious southern fried chicken and mashed potatoes were outstanding!! Prices were not bad either. The owner, Dan came and introduced himself to us and to check how our dinner was. All and all was a great place to eat!!“
