“I decided to stop by New Year's eve to get something in my stomach before drinking. They were full but I was offered a seat outside and took it. The food is all great here. Tonight they had a man carding at the front door. A customer came up already with a bad attitude. He didn't want to be carded and was insulted for he had been coming here for years. The gentleman minding the door whose name was Chris handled it very calmly with no attitude even though the guy calmed he didn't like Chris's attitude. the customer was clear trying to start something but only received politeness. I saw that same guy trying to start it up with another gentleman watching the door. Great job to Chris. He was also nice enough to stop and chat with me and do his job. I was the only one sitting outside it was nice to be acknowledged. Thanks“

“Best soft serve ‘ice cream’ around and for very reasonable prices. They load the sundaes up and the cones are huge! Always a friendly smile and conversation from Kipper (the owner) and the rest of the staff. You can even bring your pup and get a free treat for them! Definitely worth the visit and you can bring the whole family and not break the bank. They even have a loyalty program ☺️“

It's extremely nice, and the beer here is probably the best you're going to find in Roanoke. The staff is great, and their growlers are reasonably priced. They don't stay open very late, so be sure to get there early.“

The flavors are authentic, everything tastes homemade, and you can tell the food is prepared with real care and tradition, just like you’d expect from a good Argentine parrilla (the entraña was fantastic and perfectly cooked). I’m so glad I found this place. It’s a true hidden gem in Roanoke and the kind of restaurant you’re happy to discover. Roanoke is lucky to have it. If you’re in the area, definitely give it a try.“

“Sidewinders is hands down one of my favorite places to go! The atmosphere is absolutely unmatched—it’s fun, welcoming, and has such a great energy every time we visit. Whether you’re there to line dance, hang out with friends, or just enjoy a good night out, it’s always a great time.

“I used to really love this place and go almost every week day but now I kind of go there maybe once a week and only because it's conveniently located but the convenience factor has taken a nose dive because of one recent development: When I pay $5 or $6 for a specialty iced coffee is it too much to ask that it comes with a lid that won't leak? It drips all over my hands all the way to my office and I have to change cups when I get there. If ya get a shipment of faulty lids why not just send them back? I'd rather have no lid at all than the illusion of a lid.“

“I really can't say enough nice things about this place. The food we've had has always been outstanding. The beer selection has good variety (unlike other places that seem to almost entirely focus on IPAs and sours, which we hate) and there are lots of options for the non-beer drinkers. They were so gracious and accommodating recently when we came in for my husband's birthday - kept our ice cream cake cold, and brought it to us with serving utensils when we were ready. Seriously, who does that? And when we brought our pup in recently, one of the staff members brought us (out to the patio) a bowl of water and a biscuit without even being asked. Add in the atmosphere and frequent live music, and you've got a winner!“

“I’ll start by saying we frequented BitS for many years largely due to convenience and price point. After awhile, we quit going in because of poor quality across the board. We are very pleased with the changes in the food and set up after a recent change in ownership. I prefer the ability to order from my seat vs standing in line. The buns are no longer soggy and fries are perfectly crispy. We received a warm welcome and excellent service this evening from a gentleman (uncertain of his name, but KD was on our receipt) despite a full restaurant. This young man is a valuable asset to the team and we will continue to return. Please give them a try!!“

When it was time to have our cake, i was told it would be a $1.00 a plate charge to have a dessert plate. Extremely turned off about that. Ruined our birthday celebration. Idk? Is this a thing? Never ever have heard of a plate fee.“
