I am not normally a fan of buffet style restaurants, but I was with a tour group, so Golden Corral was our chosen location for dinner while in Roanoke. The restaurant was clean, the food was plentiful and the staff friendly. BUT- one person really stood out and that was Venus, the Hospitality Manager! Venus greeted us at the door welcoming us with a sign that she made herself. Great selection of meats, vegetable and salads. Have gone through a bit of renovation since my last visit. Recommend.Parking: Plenty of parking, a good number of handicapped spaces but no powered doors and difficult for wheelchair/powerchair or scooter entrance.

On a bus with a travel group from Mobile, Al - 42 senior citizens stopped at Golden Corral for our night (5:30) meal. Food was delicious with a very wide variety and cooked exceptionally well. Clean restaurant, excellent service even with a bus load. Will definitely return when back in this area and reccomend highly to groups looking for great service. Venus the manager was friendly and made us feel really welcomed. The food was great and service excellant.
