Dogs where great just like we wanted
I'm giving the cookout on Hershberger, 5 stars, in contrast to the new cookout on Franklin. If the cookout on Franklin was the first one that we had in town, I would think Cook-Out was a slow poorly run- run of the mill restaurant with privileged kids running the store. Versus the 1 on Hershberger, which has attentive professional fast people running the store. Cook Out is a fantastic restaurant with great food and milkshakes. With a variety of 40 milkshake flavors, there's always something new to try. The staff is amazing, working well under pressure. The menu offers delicious and affordable options, like the double cheeseburger and walking taco. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, perfect for families with kids. Customers love the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Hot Dogs, Chicken Strips, Fries, Onion Rings, and Hush Puppies.
Recently, a visitor noted the long lines at the drive-thru and the restaurant's late hours, which extend until 4:00 AM. Located in a large brick building near Crossroads in Roanoke, Virginia, Cook Out features large windows and an outdoor seating area. Inside, the restaurant is very clean, and customers can read the menu above the ordering counter. One customer enjoyed a Burger tray with Onion Rings and Slaw, a Peach Cobler Shake, and an extra Cook Out Hot Dog. The order was efficiently taken, and the fresh quality of the food impressed them.
