Went inside and no staff around, stood there for a few minutes and nobody. Came back a little later and the bartender was more interested in hanging out with his friends than providing service. The cheese fries were good but left after we ate them because of the lack of service.

Champs had been a horrible place to frequent in Blacksburg. They are the generic option for anything in bburg. Go to champs if you want a mediocre at best time with horrible bartenders and bouncers- creepy vibes.

My husband and I have been residents of Blacksburg, VA for 8 years and have been going to to Champ’s for 8 years+ the time we were students prior to moving back to the area. Tonight we were told we needed to leave because they accused my husband of smoking in the bathroom (which he was not). We had been smoking on the balcony (in the building directly outside of the restaurant), which we were told we could not do, and we had to go downstairs, and we happily obliged. Once we were finished we came back upstairs to finish our beers and cheese fries. Then we were immediately told we had to get our food to go and leave. Unfortunately there was no conversation or anything, it was just, “take your food and get out.” My husband used to play darts here every single Wednesday so it was a frequent visit. I do not recommend coming here, even after 8+ years.
Bartenders are very helpful and quick, even when it's super packed. Very spacious. Nice set up, even Dart boards. Has an Upstairs and a back patio connects to downstairs. Great place.
