Perhaps you guys need a retraining course and a visit from Corporate because Cookout has always been my go to but last few times just barely squeaking by, you know it’s bad when you go in the evening time and you’re the only one there, honestly thought they was closed. Bathrooms were gross and the food mediocre, maybe when school starts they’ll fix up the place and make it more presentable for the Hokies. Hokies need a go to burger place but if someone opens up an In and Out or similar this Cookout will be closed. More outdoor seating would be awesome!

Cheese curds were frozen in the middle, & no cajun spice on the fries. Order #1427.

Be careful the short Spanish lady at the cash register will overcharge for things you didn't buy. Check your receipt! Beware: The manager has a nasty attitude too.

It was overall good but fries were cold and old. Also, was a bit surprised by watermelon milkshake as it was mostly frozen watermelon chunks in a little milkshake. Maybe that is the way it is and if so then it works for others but I was disappointed. But I like the food and visit whenever in the area.

Cook Out is my go-to spot in Blacksburg! I always order inside for faster service since the drive-thru can get slow during peak hours. Their wide variety of milkshakes is amazing; the strawberry is my favorite, and the Coke float hits the spot every time. Great food, great prices, and always worth the stop!

Went and got 3 trays, all were wrong. One only came with cheese bites, no burger no fries. Another was missing fries. Ridiculous

first and foremost this location is not what it was before.... cookout was good until the least few years and recent mgmt and staff change. terrible, worst service i've ever had a few nights ago, milkshake was busted, cashier handed it to me anyway, got 4 wraps all hard as a brick, teeth would of broke if i would of continued to eat it. wraps thrown together. went to speak to a manager just now states he was the GM. unapologetic and seemed to not care. tried to explain it seemed like staff was on drugs... didn't care enough about that either. tried to compliment guy in the window who was working, manager seemed not to care. this is awful.

Used to be a better value, but still good for fast food.

The guy running the drive thru has some of the best customer skills I've ever encountered. Thank you!

This is my favorite fast food place in the area. The tray is a great bargain (entree, 2 sides, and drink). Their food is typical fast food quality, but the orders always arrive quickly regardless of how busy the place is. It can get pretty rowdy in there, especially late at night.

The best thing is their milkshakes, which are more like thick ice cream. They have a ton of different flavors, and it’s not uncommon for people to eat out at one place, then get CookOut milkshakes for dessert.
