Parking is the only obstacle. The calzones are awesome.

Update: I am sad to report this establishment has gone downhill since my original review. Since then, the drink machines have been removed for bottles only, both restrooms are out of order, the tables are dented and torn and need of replacement. The various areas are dirty looking and unpainted.

Fortunately, the food quality is still great, but the era of carryout and delivery has left the dining area neglected.

These guys suck in my 5 years of attending Virginia tech they have never given me the sauce that I ordered and paid extra for even when I plead with them they refuse and give me marinara sauce which I specify every single time time that I am allergic too. They do not care about you and will fight with you until you walk away. These broke, pitiful, unwanted excuses for servers can eat it and can choke on the money I tip them everytime before I order. DO NOT EAT HERE, LITERALLY GO ANYWHERE ELSE I WISH I COULD RATE THEM NEGATIVE STARS.

I got the Buffer Zone calzone heredue to fasten their ordering process, there were certain calzones that were pre-made and placed in a container, and you could just get one of thosewhile this wasn't going to be as good as fresh food - it did make things a lot quicker as we didn't have to wait for the food - and judging by theamount of people in the store, it would take a whileon the outside, i wasn't a huge fan of the dough. it did taste a little stale/hard, and wasn't really fried as well as I would expect from a calzonethe inside was a bit better, where the filling combined to make a decent flavor profilei will say, the inside didn't seem to be mixed well together - as the blue cheese was largely on the outside, and not mixed with the other toppingsthis resulted in a difficullt eating experience where the blue cheese sauce was hard to stop from getting on your facefor the price, the portion size isn't bad - the two halves are decently sizedhowever, i will mention this place uses deceptive advertising in the menu - where it lists the calories, but those calories are actually for 1/2 the calzone, not the full thing. this is pretty shadyOverall, average late night food. 6/10

My first and last experience with D.P. Dough. Not worth the money or the wait. Waited an hour and a half for delivery on a Tuesday. The marinara sauce was the only good part. The calzone was lukewarm, dry, tasteless, and totally unappealing. I can't imagine these being good even if you dine in. If Mike's Grill were still open, they would put you out of business in a heartbeat.

If you're craving a calzone at midnight this is the place to go. Just be prepared to wait, especially after a night game.
