When they first open they were pretty good but lately the quality has dropped. I order vindaloo curry and they give me chicken soup with a distinct fishy taste. Not worth the 20$.
We were greeted immediately and sat within 2 minutes. The staff are very friendly, patient, and gave recommendations. We ordered the house naan, which I highly recommend, the garlic naan, Nepali salad, ginger chicken, tadka dal, both come with rice, gulab jamun which is an amazing dessert, Chai tea. This was more than we could eat and was less than $70, totally worth it. All of the dishes were amazing and this restaurant has already been added to the favorites list.
Food tastes great!
My first time trying some Indian food & omg it didn’t disappoint!!! The chicken biriyani was seasoned so well nice & spicy! The butter chicken has a nice sweet taste to it with a little kick & paired with the garlic naan oh man! The chow mein was very flavorful. I’ll definitely be back to get some take out!!
The service, food, and people all made my experience at Harmro amazing. Food was very authentic and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and kind- always making sure everything was perfect for us. 10/10 recommend!!
best restaurant in blacksburg hands down!! everytime I go the food is so fresh and I have no complaints. you can even pick which spice level you want from 1-5 and the menu is so diverse so its perfect for group outings as theres something for everyone! the owner is so hospitable as well and truly cares about the blacksburg and virginia tech community. love this restaurant & the food so much i even got my post grad lunch catered from here and everyone was raving about the food!
Food is nice but they made use wait for 20 minutes just for taking our food order
Ordinarily I would give Hamro 5 stars. I used to get takeout from them for lunch once per week, but lately they will not answer the phones. Literally for the last month and a half I've been calling them 1-2 times/week and they have only picked up the phone once. This morning I tried to get takeout and called 4 times, 10 minutes apart. They didn't pick up any of those times.

The food here is 20/10 delicious it is so worth going just to eat there wonderful food. The service can be hit or miss but its worth the risk of less than stellar service since the food is just that good.

So nice hospitality n teaty food
I love this place!! It’s my favorite spot to eat in Blacksburg, I’m constantly wanting to go there. I’ve had the mutton curry, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, chili momo, and garlic naan and it’s all been fantastic. There’s so much variety to the menu, like they even have seafood curries. I tried a bit of my friend’s salmon curry and it was great. The atmosphere is also really nice because it feels clean, high quality, and comforting. I enjoy the service as well, as the workers are kind and pretty fast at delivering the food. My friends who had never eaten Indian and Nepalese cuisine were highly impressed as well.
