Ordinarily I would give Hamro 5 stars. I used to get takeout from them for lunch once per week, but lately they will not answer the phones. Literally for the last month and a half I've been calling them 1-2 times/week and they have only picked up the phone once. This morning I tried to get takeout and called 4 times, 10 minutes apart. They didn't pick up any of those times.

I love this place!! It’s my favorite spot to eat in Blacksburg, I’m constantly wanting to go there. I’ve had the mutton curry, lamb curry, chicken tikka masala, chili momo, and garlic naan and it’s all been fantastic. There’s so much variety to the menu, like they even have seafood curries. I tried a bit of my friend’s salmon curry and it was great. The atmosphere is also really nice because it feels clean, high quality, and comforting. I enjoy the service as well, as the workers are kind and pretty fast at delivering the food. My friends who had never eaten Indian and Nepalese cuisine were highly impressed as well.

Food is not up to the mark we found hair on the food which is very unhealthy. Service is verse than food. Front desk guy is very rude and they ask for cash giving reason that their system is down. So if you carry cash and you want to ruin your day with vers food than go ahead and enjoy your day this place.Good luck.

Food was so not cooked properly , Meat was burned, Aloo paratha was under cooked , smells burned and when we ate , it was more blacked burned layer than the food. The restroom floor corner was molded and not cleaned. I hope Health Department will be aware of this concern . This is the probably the worst Nepalese Restaurant we’ve ever been.

This very popular authentic North Indian fare has a few very good items : Daal Tadka appears to be a favorite. Their Naans have a hint of sourdough , and the Daal Makhani - while not the traditional slow cooked Punjabi style , has a unique flavor .. please arrive well in time , the place is very popular and you may have to return if you arrive closer to 9:30 pm. The staff is super nice and polite to a fault !! Great value for money ???
