My friend and I went to HH on a game weekend. As soon as the bouncer saw my friend's ID, he said "if this is fake, you might as well get out!". We were so confused as to why he was so aggressive with us, especially considering that we both were sober. After staring at my friend's license, he said we have to wait until his manager comes to look at the ID. We waited for 5 minutes for this other guy to arrive just for him to look at the ID for 1 second and tell us we were fine. I watched as the bouncer let other people through and did not question another person's out of state ID nor did they receive the same aggressive disclaimer. After feeling very uncomfortable from the experience, we decided we wanted to leave. The second guy proceeded to say "what? you guys were only waiting for a minute", gaslighting us immediately. My friend left before me highly upset and as I turned my back to follow her, the second guy proceeds to stay "okay, be like that then!". I held my composure up until that point. Not only did they set the tone by being extremely rude to us upon entry but proceeded to antagonize us because we wanted to leave. As a double Hokie, the situation was so ridiculous and saddening overall. This place used to be one of my favorite bars in Blacksburg, but now I will no longer step foot there. Their unnecessary aggression towards paying customers was insane. Neither my friend nor I had a problem with getting her license double checked, but what we DID have a problem with was their tone, excessive aggression, and disrespect once we decided to leave the establishment. I've lived in Blacksburg for almost 10 years and never experienced anything like that before.

Went in for lunch for the first time the other day, my only regret was not ordering the full sized sub I ordered a Fat Tony and it was absolutely outstanding! I couldn’t have asked for better service, To top it all off my bill was under $10! I also felt totally comfortable sitting there getting some work done, which is important to me for a weekday lunch spot.

Great vibes friendly staff. Great place. I love Hokie House
one of their employees likes to harass people on Facebook for their political views.
Great spot to catch a game - didn't have a chance to eat but the food looked and smelled good. The staff were friendly and helpful (including getting a soccer game on for us) and a nice range of drink options and specials - pints or big mugs for the tap options :-)

Last night, there was live music at Hokie House, and the performer was amazing. It was honestly such a great time, and I wish Hokie House would host more live music events like this

Got a really good hamburger here. Wasn't much going on midweek, but I bet this place can get rowdy when school is back in session and there's a home game on top of that.

Nice.place to meet, socialize, have a few drinks. Building is very old and doesn't have an ADA entrance . Looks like it is a good place for students. It looks like and reminds me of when I was there in the late 60's early 70's. Our group had a great time.
Parking: Most people park at the church on the corner unless there's a church event, few parking spots in front of the Hokie House and a metered lot in the rear and down the hill behind the Greek's and Sharkey's.

Collegetown dive bar vibe. Cool old bowling alley smell.
Really good boneless wings, high quality, big fan.
The sricha ones are very spicy
Service is pretty good, staff are friendly.
Beer selection is alright as well, they give you a husky for glass for $9 definitely satisfied.
Would recommend to anybody if they don't mind the noise ?

Just had a round of drinks after graduation. Can't stress "ideal college bar" enough. Nice "dart" area.

Historic pub with beer on tap, liquor, and legendary burgers. Get there early--this joint gets busy.
