Had very high hopes for this place, heard pretty good things about this location. The buffalo chicken dip was the best thing we had while there and it wasn’t even that good. However, once we got our main dishes the salmon was overcooked for both me and my partner. On my partners dish, which was the salmon pasta, he had expected something very good, however, the flavors did not go together at all and the pasta which was angel hair in an asian dish was soggy and overcooked as well. For my dish, it was covered in an absolute unnecessary amount of toppings so much to where they were trying to make up for the dryness of my salmon. When we got our check it was extremely overpriced for half-decent food. ($70 for two people) Furthermore, I think if this restaurant worked on their flavor combination it would be pretty decent but for now I don’t think I can recommend this place. Also, just want to clarify that the service was fantastic. Matt was our server he was very respectful, very kind, very attentive, and the atmosphere was great!

Went the other week.

Cobb salad and burgers 10/10. Burgers are very thick if you want well done. Had to send it back, but once it was done, that burger was amazing!
***Onion rings 100/10.
Philly steak tastes like steak umms oddly. They say it's sirloin cut in house - if so it was set out too long and needed new. Do not recommend unless made fresh that day.

Lefty's is one of my favorite dining locations. Food is great, service as well, and convenient location.

I live outta town, stopped in to have some breakfast on a Saturday morning. Took an hour to get 1 omelet, when I ordered 2, 1 for my son, and 1 for me. Will never come here again that's for sure.

I’m not a guest

Came here for lunch on a weekday and they seemed busy. Their sandwiches were good but I didn’t like their Asian food. I think it lacked taste. I had the Asian chicken crunch salad. And it was dry and the sauce was just ok. But their servings are huge and their other non Asian style food tasted a lot better.

I've driven by this place hundreds of times, I can't believe it took me this long to get here! I was so impressed and surprised, I'm ready to go back and try every single thing on their menu. It's a place you cannot miss! Delicious food, quick and polite (and competent!) servers, lovely atmosphere, one of the best dining experiences I've had in Blacksburg.

As a small business owner, I don’t give a shout out to any business, unless it is truly worthy of raving. On our travels, it was my job to study the map in route for an independent/local restaurant. After many searches, down to the population of the town, I decided we should give Lefty’s a go. I’m usually right, but this one was the star! Holy smokes! The food set the bar for any regional competitor. I had the chef special: mahi mahi with mango salsa and chorizo risotto. Honestly, the side of zucchini and squash was basic garnish. The main focus knocked my tastebuds out of the park. The sriracha, honey and pepper flakes christened the palette. The mahi mahi was perfectly cooked, perfectly blackened outside, perfectly flakey and moist on the inside. The mango salsa with the fresh cilantro and purple onions was the perfect balance of color and taste to merge flavor to complement the fish and risotto.
My husband has the salmon from the main menu and he was very satisfied with his entree.
I might have been persuaded by the name, “Lefty’s”, my husband and I are both left handed, but I am so pleased, incredibly pleased with this unknown, exploratory culinary experience. Highly recommend you give’em a go.
I should also mention that our college student micro biology server, was awesome.

waiting 10mins for a server to come take a drink order after being seated is a bit too long, after no one came to my table I was off to find better service & food

On a whim we chose Lefty’s for our dinner outing last night as it was close to our hotel. In a word, “wow!“ Service was prompt and courteous and the food was simply fantastic. One of my favorite Southern dishes is shrimp and grits and this place knocked it out of the park! The steak chimichurri and sides were also very flavorful and the steak was cooked perfectly to order. We left (no pun intended) quite pleased.

I had the Philly Cheesesteak with onion rings. The Cheesesteak was very good , the onion rings were so-so. More batter than onion.

I’m sorry but I have never been impressed by the food at this restaurant, I have tried it a couple times in the past and I don’t like the hard bread.
