Was great overall! Fantastic service and wonderful food. Don't skip dessert 😀. It is a great place for a nice meal. Noise level was perfect so we could have conversations throughout our meal . Did not feel rushed at all.
Their server was outstanding!!! He has a great personality and was attentive. The pimento cheeseburger and the bacon jelly burger were excellent. The kale salad with tuna was very good. The breaded chicken strips have a little bit too much breading for our taste, but everything else was fantastic and again the server was one of the best parts of the experience.
We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation and were seated by 6:45, which was fine. We received menus right away, but it was another 45 minutes before our server came back to take our food order, and then another 30 minutes before the food arrived. I understand it was Family Weekend at VT, but the restaurant should be staffed better for busy weekends like that. Unfortunately, we won't be returning—it was clear they just can't handle the crowd when things get busy.
