The pupusas, especially the one made with loroco and cheese were delicious. They serve real horchata and fried sweet plantain. The service was quick and employees friendly and helpful with explaining the choices.

I came here with one of my Honduran friends who recommended this to me and wish I could say it was a really good time. The restaurant manager/an employee's kids were having a good time in the dining area so I'm pretty sure that this is a family run business. My pupusas were just okay. I got a pork one (chorizo?) without the cheese and it was not bad, but also not great. Really friendly and good vibes, but the food was just average.

I love coming in, great place, open, clean, bathrooms are clean, tables and always put together, always someone smiling at the register. Their menus have pictures which is great for us who sometimes don't know what the meals' ingredients are, the prices are great for the portions and the waiting times pretty reasonable, I also love to order ahead. Yesterday we had Pastor Tacos, Golden Taquitos, tres leached cake, Asada Tacos, corn tamale, Tamarind water and a Mexican coke... oh and a coffee, all was delicious and we will always keep coming back, the owner Mari is the best and everyone that works there, all are fast, friendly efficient and polite.Vegetarian options: Pupusas can be zucchini, jalapeño, loroco, just cheese, beans.Corn tamales are only cornDietary restrictions: If you explain you need modifications they're always happy to oblige. (Within reason)Parking: Off Main Street, ample and easy.Kid-friendliness: This is a family restaurant, families are not only welcomed here but encouraged.

We were the first ones in the restaurant on Friday about 5 pm. The dishes were quite limited in terms of what you can add to them. If you wanted tacos, they came with one side. Somehow asking for rice and beans to an order couldnt be done. We ended ordering the carne asada, which came with rice and beans and a little salad. Nice hot soft tortillas came with the meal. The meat was thin, dry, and tough. The hot sauce available was used liberally to give it some taste....but my goodness, I dont really know what we ended up getting and why the meat was so thin and tough. The drink offerings were either hot sweet teas, water, or soda pop. No other options. We got bottled water. I know we entered into a different world, as this is described as El Salvadorian cuisine, but our first attempt to eat here was kind of a failure.

I was satisfied with my 3 pupusas, 2 chicharron and one Pollo to go. I guess I forgot to say with cheese. The chicharron pupusas were better than the chicken. The curtido was really good. I can’t wait to come back and try something else from the menu.

Came in for a late lunch and ordered Tacos de asada and they were excellent. Perfectly cooked high quality meat, fresh corn tortillas, crisp radish and a grilled pepper. Restaurant was clean and nice natural light. Friendly and quick service (food was ready in minutes). Highly recommended. I look forward to trying the pupusas next time.

Calling yourself a pupusería and not making the pupusas yourself is simply disgraceful. The cabbage that they give you is limp and you get very little of it. The prices are a clear indication that this business exists to maximize profits and not to serve good food. Another disappointment for Blacksburg
