Why Ridiculous Chicken closed and it’s never open again

Ridiculous Chicken is THE spot. Cheap drinks, bomb chicken, and karaoke Wednesday are always good vibes. Perfect place to hit up after class or on a weekend with the crew. 10/10 would recommend — my GPA might not be great, but my taste in food is.

Food was absolutely horrible, and service was also horrible. The young kid just played with his cell phone entire time instead of taking order, getting food once it was ready, and following up (if we needed more water, etc etc). The atmosphere was okay. The 4 star rating has to be false ratings.

My family and I honestly love this place. I felt like I should leave a review because I was seeing so many negative reviews. We literally go here weekly since finding it. We love the gyudon, fried rice and tteokboki. This is like one of the only places to find some Korean dishes around here, so I’m super pleased. Give it a shot and see for yourself what you think. Also, yes there is usually a wait, but just call ahead of time and prepare them for when you want to pick it up and it’s fine.

Food was bad and bouncer accuses of stealing because “he didn’t see a transaction”. Very unprofessional and seems like a power trip. Seemed to target for college kids especially and maybe not a safe spot for Hokies.

Really bad customer service. The server never smiles at me, check up on us for the whole time we dine in. However, atmosphere is fine, and the food is okay.

They've got an understaffed kitchen then make it your fault when the food continues to be delayed. Unreasonable business model

The food was incredible. From the Korean Corn Dog to the wings and Gyudon, all of it was great. The restaurant personnel were very polite when we stopped by to pick up the to-go order. We'll definitely stop by again. The wings are a definite must, and I will look to try something else.

I almost never leave reviews but Sunday night, I had ordered a veggie bimbap bowl through DoorDash and in one of my bites, I found a piece of metal in my food. It seemed to be a piece of a steel wool scrub pad. I immediately called the restaurant and sent them pictures of what I found. The person I spoke to told me that they would give me a full refund and apologized profusely saying they had been cleaning earlier that day. I didn’t received my refund, so I called today and was told that they could only offer me more food and that DoorDash would have to refund. I obviously don’t want food from this place again and DoorDash can only assist if the issue is brought to their attention within 24-hours of the order being placed, so I can’t get my refund. Incredibly dangerous if I had swallowed it and also just absolutely disgusting to have something used for cleaning in my mouth.

My second experience here was today, ridiculously long weight is more like it waited 20 minutes for a call ahead order, nobody was friendly. Nobody was attentive. Not to mention the sticky floor, the dirty walls, the broken windows, the haphazard wiring above the bar do not make for a good atmosphere. Do better
