Good afternoon. I'm a Virginia Tech alumnus - but I'm also from North Dakota. Consequently, I'm very hard to please when it comes to really good bison. Sharkey's Wing and Rib Joing has it in Blacksburg, Virginia. On Mondays, they have their two for one burger specials - and bison is part of that deal. I never order bison at higher level of cooking than Medium-Well (if you cook bison at well done, then you essentially have a potato chip - word of caution there because the meat is very lean). A great selection of sides from waffle fries, sweet potato fires - all the way to broccoli with lemon butter (which is what I bought). This bison burger is among the top 5 bison burgers I have ever had. I only wish - as a Virginia Tech alumnus who lives in Northern Virginia - that I could get this 2 for 1 special on Friday when I drive out of the Blacksburg lol. Outstanding restaurant - please make sure you visit and spend your dollars there.

Place is awesome. Highly recommend the Bison Cheeseburger Wrap. Spot is clean, servers are kind, they’re undoubtedly one of the best casual sit down spots in Blacksburg for sure, would recommend taking visitors, watching football, etc.

male bartender constantly vaping inside at bar. terrible attitude. accused me of throwing up in bathroom when it was clearly one of his friends watching buffalo bills game.

Loyal Sharkey’s patron, but not anymore after introduction of a $3 cover. Never had one before and never will be returning after that.

Sharkeys is fun because of the students, But the blonde guy with round glasses and no face wash sucks. His go to line is “families are still hear shut up”. He also proceeded to insult my own mother and her ability to raise a child. This is no professional, this grease ball should be fired. Sharkeys is still cool tho.

Approximately 4:30 Monday afternoon Virginia Tech location.

We are new to the VT community and had just finished up with a faculty meet greet for new students and families. As a family; myself, wife (VT New Dept. Managment), twin boys elementary age, toddler boy, were promptly seated and pleasantly presented our menu options for kids. It was satisfying for our picky eaters. Just what we needed.

Ariel, our waitress + server + genuinely attentive + awesome individual with kids, gave us one of the best service experiences for our boys dining out, EVER! All the boys gravitated to her kindness. As a parent we appreciate you, Captain Ariel for sharing the booty of Sharky’s Treasure Chest and will be back regularly.
