I had the Hokie Ham and cheese, wife had Greek sub, grandson meat calzone. All were good, large servings. Good draft selection. Not pretentious, just plain good!
We unfortunately had poor, impersonal service, a long wait for our food, overcooked pasta and Italian bread, no check-up after our food was served, and a long wait for our bill as our plates sat on on the table.
I recommend going to cellar basement instead of the restaurant upstairs. Sat upstairs at bar and bartender wasn’t friendly, took forever to get us a drink when it wasn’t busy, and then never put in our food order. We moved to a table and the server was rly nice. But my French dip sandwich was completely raw. The food here is usually good. Takes forever to arrive but once it does it’s pretty decent. The Hawaiian pizza in cellar basement is BOMB, prob my fav thing here. Idk tho. Been having some questionable experiences here lately

I love the food here, but the service is embarrassing. Tables are left unbussed while people wait in line to be seated. Once we were seated we waited for 15 minutes knowing exactly what we wanted to order and no one came to our table. I applied to work at this place, and was never contacted. It seems like management is fine with the bare minimum and leaving customers waiting and unsatisfied.

Go somewhere else. Fast food restaurants are better than this.

Food was awful. Chicken souvlaki dinner means dried chicken, broccoli, and old potato. I don’t how others liked this food.

Good college town food with very friendly service. I had the Sloppy Dog which was a hotdog smothered in chili and cheese. I requested no bun and enjoyed it. The cider was really good. Good vibes; I would return.
Pretty basic.
Beer tap selection was poor. Two of the only interesting beers were out. The remaining ones were less than average, especially considering the bottle selection.
Pizza was sub par.
Service was the only redeeming factor.

Food is okay. I'm not sure I'd call it authentic Greek, and the menu was generic, not creative. There was nothing wrong. It tasted good. It just lacked that excitement factor.

My sandwich was damp next to the plate and it fell apart when I picked it up to eat. Service was somewhere inattentive. Atmosphere was fine.

This place gets REALLY busy very quickly, so get there when it opens. Food is good and so is the atmosphere. They do need another server, to the make the place more efficient. Try the meatball sub, calzone and pizza. You won’t regret it. Definitely recommend.

Not super fancy but solid place by the university with lots of options. They did mess up my side but made up for it by giving me a huge plate of the fries I ordered.

Blacksburg is a college town. When two travelers, new to town and 50 years removed from undergrad days tried to find a grown up place to eat, it wasn't easy. We found Cellar. Hostess and server could not have been nicer. Had the salmon special. A great find.
