This restaurant is poorly run. The food is good mostly, but only if you can get served. We were planning to attend a show and were assured our order would be ready in plenty of time. After 1.5 hours and encouragement every 20 mins or so, we missed the show and the owner came out with a couple of sliders and an apology. Said owner was sporting a ball cap and otherwise as clean as a baseball player after 13 innings - perhaps that's the look he was pursuing - bad judgement, dude. Blacksburg has better to offer than the Maroon door - look elsewhere.

This place is pretty good if you're walking around looking for something a little more "upscale"! Some of the dishes have a lot of unique components so if you're looking for a typical burger, maybe try a different place.

If you’re wanting to avoid fast food, the Maroon Door is worth a visit. Eclectic menu. Favorites included the cauliflower tacos and apple salmon.
Food very good. Spare decide, but appealing. Good to go there when you want something new and excellent on the menu.Parking: Short walk from paid surface lotWheelchair accessibility: Accessible. Also outdoor dining when it gets warm v

Fully remodeled historical building is clean with character. Several beers hit the mark, and I appreciated a range of non IPA choices. The Stout is especially delicious and the brown ale a close second. The creative menu items alone are worth returning to sample. Rabbit egg rolls were flavorful and surprisingly light. A small but nicely chosen array of whiskies will please the sippers in your crew. Well done all around!

Excellent place to grab some really great food in Blacksburg. Traditional menu items with a unique twist on ingredients. My BLT had fried green tomatoes - ? it was delicious.

average american food at the maroon door. seems a bit more high end and a bit pricier on the food but the food was nothing to rave about. the service was amazing however the servers were super friendly and great to talk
When I came to this establishment, I was utterly astonished with the wonderful service, although one guy forgot to get my refill of water. The food was excellent, everyone in my party enjoyed it thoroughly. My burger was cooked to most perfect level of medium well, I may even argue it was the greatest burger I've had enter my system in my 16 years of food consuming.

We had a large gathering there . I think we all had a wonderful time there. I ordered pork chop. It was ok but the cut was thicker than I expected it. Other people food experience was ok. I really liked their whiskey sour. The server was very efficient.

2 out of 5 for the menu and service. The menu: I mean nothing going on here guys. Essentially no appetizers, 19 dollar burgers and 33 dollar steaks that you can get better a Texas Roadhouse. Our waitress literally forgot mine and my gf entire order multiple times.I would ask about our drinks and food and she would say “yes it’s coming but what did you order again” we definitely will not be back.

The New York steak and salmon pilaf were both delicious:) The pork chop was delicious, but a bit tough, so I don't recommend it.
