Philly vegan located on RVA’s Southside at 12th & Hull Street is always a treat with their wonderful plant based vegan menu that is guaranteed to satisfy your appetite and soul. My go to is the Philly Vegan Cheesesteak 👌🏾, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu so don’t be afraid to be adventurous when placing an order. As recommended by the owner Mr. Samuel on this visit we tried the “Samuel Daniel SmashBurger 🍔,” And I must say it was tasty 😋 👍🏾. The wedges were nice and crispy and seasoned excellently. They also have a variety of sides and hefty appetizers, kids menu, and wonderfully flavored shakes & desserts 🍮. They have even added Sorrels to their menu. The service is soulful, energetic, and invitingly warm. Philly Vegan is a good place to give your palate a break from the usual. Also as a community incentive Philly Vegan has “Pay-What-You-Can” days.

Too greasy and salty for our taste. We got the sampler plate and did not eat the Philly sandwich- only the fries smothered under the plant based steak/cheese. I did pick out and eat the onions and bell peppers though. We also did not like the eggroll that did not have any recognizable vegetables in them. We should have known what we were getting, but I like fresh vegetables far too much to recommend this place, or return.

I loveeeeee their food along with the owners ! I no longer live in Virginia anymore but I plan to come home to visit next year and when I do I’ll definitely be visiting them ! I think it’s been 2-3 yrs since I had them.

We had the sampler split between the two of us, plenty of food. As seniors we tend to share nowadays.
Loaded fries were creamy and very tasty, the Philly sandwich was also tasty, but the hot dog bun was too much bread.
The egg roll was excellent, slightly crispy on outside, yet very good
When we are back in Richmond and want comfort food we will definitely be returning here
