I enjoyed the food, service and environment. A good country drive from 81 near JMU or other area attractions, but we'll with the trip. Hank made the experience that much better.
If more attention was paid to flavoring the food, it could be a good restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was bland. The chicken cardinal is two very thin chicken tenders topped with a piece of roasted pepper, topped with a thin deli ham slice covered in mozzarella over spaghetti in a tasteless cream sauce. The shrimp scampi served over angel hair pasta was also tasteless. The balance of protein to what looks like a quarter pound of pasta is way off. Both entrees came with bread...
Was late to my reservation, when I called in the guy was super chill and said he’ll push it back for us. Our table was still ready. Genesis was a great server and the food was good. Unlimited garlic knots was a plus to. A nice chill spot for me and my girlfriend for valentine’s day weekend. They gave us 10% off for their anniversary which was pretty dope. The lasagna was great as well and the caesar salad. Will definitely be back!
