I took my wife here for her birthday and was taken away by the attention to detail and service that seems to be lacking from so many fine dining establishments these days. Our waitress was highly intuitive and helpful throughout our dinner, making fantastic recommendations and ensuring our dinner was exceptional. Everything from the drinks, to the appetizers and main course were incredible and, though I do not normally put high stock in presentation, it was top notch as well....
Hickory was a wonderful dining experience. I especially loved the delicious food, welcoming service, beautiful ambiance, fair pricing, and efficient pace. Leah was friendly and helpful throughout the visit. A great choice for anyone looking for the best places to eat in Bristol VA.
They had no host on duty. We arrived on-time for our reservation. Lots of tables were available. A server indicated he would find our party a table. 25 minutes go by and no one came back to the host stand. At that point I tracked down someone who appeared to be a manager. He was so rude I found it shocking. After 10 more minutes we were seated and served by the same young man who originally said he was would find us a table. Their entire brunch service on the Sunday of a holiday...
