It must be the best in the world, but you're missing the Ransone Argentine barbecue. Hahaha, greetings,

Food was delicious and staff were attentive. Best burger we’ve had in a while!
Went for lunch 6-13-2024 and have never felt more disrespected by restaurant staff in my whole life. In my opinion the food is mediocre and expensive for what you get, inattentive and rude employees, and the overall experience was horrible. Would not recommend and will not spend another penny at this establishment.
Will never know about the food, everyone stood in the back at the counter talking, never came to the table. Food score unknown, service zero.
We parked at the swinging bridge & really enjoyed walking that/watching water turtles. Then a small walk past a few other eateries in this little Main Street. Both enjoyed Turkey blt on sourdough. Includes drink and one nice side. I tried corn fritters which were small fritters with creamed corn filling. Husband enjoyed his fries. Highly recommend this friendly nostalgic place!
What a cute little diner! We stumbled upon this place and , boy, are we glad we did! I had fried shrimp, turnip greens, and green beans. The veggies tasted homemade and the shrimp were large and plentiful. It was yummy! The atmosphere is very nostalgic and there seemed to be several local folks dining there, as well.
They have good food and friendly service. They are conveniently located in town.
At first it appeared to be a step back into the past, and in a way it was. The decor is vintage, but charming. The food is good, especially the homemade potato chips! Our waitress was incredibly sweet, kind and terrific. Special note: The rest room really is in the right!
So many places have closed due to the pandemic that we’ve found it challenging now that we’re taking road trips again to find good local places to dine. We were delighted to see this small cafe as we were driving through Buchanan, it was open and welcoming. Mostly local customers, so it felt “real” and we enjoyed the presence of a couple of fun characters that must be regulars. Food that we had was okay, not stellar but fine - turnip greens too salty, tomato in the salad “not fit to eat, as my mother-in-law would say - except the biscuits were perfect, light, not a bit greasy, served warm! It didn’t look like the type of place to order pizza, but we saw one ordered by a table of local people and it looked delicious. Decor is fun, lots of memorabilia (much Coca-Cola stuff, including a life-sized cutout of Santa with a Coke). Nice notes from happy customers and old articles under the glass on tabletops. Counter seats still closed to maintain distance between diners, though no one wore masks. There is an ice cream counter and - unexpectedly - a good selection of greeting cards! We would definitely return.
The exterior building sign still says Ransone's Drug. The window signage reads 'The Buchanan Fountain and Grille' who now operates the food service there. They serve breakfast all day. Since I was going canoeing with Twin River Outfitters, I had the Build Your Own Omelet with everything except the bacon and sausage. It comes with string hash browns which does not need ketchup, a biscuit, and a drink. All was excellent. My spouse chose the Grilled Chicken Salad, also excellent. Homestyle dinners, burgers, subs and pizza are on the menu. Seating is limited They also serve Hershey's ice cream and old fashioned milk shakes and floats. Will come back for those.

Four of us went and tried four different items. All very good. We've already decided to go back and try four more.
Truly a step back in time outside and in. The atmosphere is cute and the service was warm and inviting. The food is very responsible and just the right amount. Would definitely recommend.
We stopped in one day after floating the river. The young man that waited on us was excellent. Tall and handsome young man was very helpful and took such good care of us. Hate to say this but everyone else in the place seemed to not be very friendly. They never smiled and was short when we went to pay. The food was good but we had to pay for a glass of water which is free everywhere else we have eaten. It was pretty expensive if you compare it to other places in the area. My advice to them, at least fake a smile and quit charging for water and be thankful for good natured help.
Stopped in for lunch and what a treat. It took us back to the good ole days when you went to the pharmacy for a fountain drink and a sandwich. We had a fried bologna sandwich and chicken club. Great food very friendly service.
I stopped here to find a geocache right down the street. Then I asked if the grill up he street was good. I was told very good, so I went there. One word about the staff - friendly. One word about decor - nostalgic. I saw they had fried bologna sandwich, but it turned out to be regular bologna, not cloth bologna - I guess this was too far south. The BLT was excellent and the side of home made chips came both greaseless and hot. You can't give more praise. I know where I will stop for lunch the next time I'm in the area.
