We used to love this place, UNTIL June showed her true colors. She doesn't treat her teenage employees good, and definitely doesn't like if you complain about the food. We will never go back again. Side note: Mrs B's across the street is AMAZING!😋
Wonderful and delicious ice cream. They give you a huge scoop. Food is great too and the staff is so friendly. I love this place. I drive here from Roanoke regularly.
Everyone is so friendly and everything is made fresh to order! Their grill is so clean that it always looks brand new! The food is always amazing and the ice cream flavors from Homestead Creamery are on point!

Based on customer reviews, James River Drip offers great food, ice-cream, and friendly service. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and works quickly even when busy. The food is delicious, excellent, and fairly priced with a very clean and impressive menu. Lots of food options include a dynamite breakfast sandwich, biscuits and gravy, chicken salad, onion rings, and hamburgers made from ground meat formed into patties by hand. They also have scoopable Hershey's ice cream and really good coffee, including H&C coffee and Homestead Creamery stuff. The atmosphere is a nice small-town feel, more than coffee—almost a diner with very good Southern food done right. It is a great place to take kids, and the menu has a lot of options. Stop here for food and coffee, then take it across the street to the swinging bridge for a view.
