Not sure why I’m giving it five stars as it’s a 1 star structure, but I’ve never really seen anything like it before. You only live once so give it ago and hopefully you will make it from one side to the other. Note only 3 people on the bridge at any one time. Goodluck and have fun ?
What a great experience in downtown Buchanan. Just a nice little bridge going over the James River. They're keeping up with taking care of it. Lots of birds and other wildlife around there. We’re driving across the country - NJ to California, and we try to stop every 3-4 hrs to stretch our legs and see the country. The Swinging Bridge is a great stop! The town is full of interesting old buildings, and the bridge has lots of history. We walked across without any trouble. Super fun, and the day was gorgeous. Highly recommend!
