Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings

I have been to this location twice in the past two weeks and it has quickly become my favorite place for fried chicken! The meat is very high quality and cooked perfectly, not undercooked and never dry. It isn't fast food, but it is definitely worth waiting for.

It is also by far (in my experience) the best place for spicy fried chicken. It is incredibly difficult to find any place that offers food at the level of spice available here consistently. There are also varying spice levels they offer that allow you to find the level you're comfortable with.

Finally, I want to add that the staff as this location is incredible. I have had a wonderful experience both times; they are very friendly, and understand the food they are serving. I highly recommend this place if you want something a step above any of the popular fast food fried chicken chains.

Amazing spicy chicken, best I've had in a long time. Lots of spice levels even a no spice level. The highest level is PROPER spicy but still tastes delicious. Have gone twice in two weeks I love this place

Service is a minimum. Girl at the counter was on her phone when we approached the counter, the girl was on the phone with a guy who was speaking loudly and in a foreign voice. She set it down and the guy continued to talk, very loudly. We waited. And then I looked at her and asked if she would get off the phone. Attitude plus! She may have mumbled a few words but who knows. Had to ask for everything. She pointed.
When we told her we were eating in, she said we are closing. I checked the time, still had a half an hour. We stayed and 2 pick up orders came in during that time. Not sure what her problem was, but 1st and last time there.
Just found out there is one in Gainesville. We'll go there.

We dined in and our kids enjoyed it, the space is considering spacious as a fast food restaurant. Open until 11 pm which so much appreciated. Suggestion : You should open 24 hours during ramadan 😁

menu is enough choices , the buffalo sauce chicken bowl is my favorite. the fries is crunchy and yummy,

I hope you’re not in a hurry when you order here. It took over 35 minutes to get a Sando sandwich and loaded fries. And no, not crowded - the restaurant only had one other couple who also waited half-hour plus for their food. Food tastes great, but not worth the long wait.

They had fresh and yummy food. Amazing service, I came with my family and the food and service was beyond amazing. They had great hospitality and welcomed us. The lady was so nice that she gave us free dessert. Way better compared to other hangry joes.

First time diner. I checked the menu online first. The meals are all $10-15, so a bit pricier than other places. The main event seems to be the big sandwich, which has a fried chicken piece that overflows all sides of the bun. The meal also costs $15. From the website, I saw they have a smaller “sando” which has two chicken tenders, slaw, pickles and sauce. I got that. With fries and a drink it still cost $13.

Took 5-10 minutes to get the food, but the chicken was cooked perfectly. Tender/juicy inside, nice crunch on the outside. Had to take two bites of each tender before I got to the bun. I ordered it mild, being a first timer, but could definitely do hotter next time.

The slaw and pickles were both pretty good. Nice flavor, but didn’t distract from the chicken.

I do have a complaint about the bun. 1) kind of small and basic. 2) not structurally sound. By the time I got to eating the bun, it was falling apart. Very messy.

The waffle fries are very good. Nice crunch and flavor, and I also got a mountain of them. Had to take some home.

Overall, I like this place. I plan to try the wings next time.

This was our 1st time eating here. I got the chicken and waffles and my daughter ordered the chicken leg combo. This good slams harder than a dunk at the b-ball game. 😄😄😄 I got full quickly and had to bring the rest home. I love the wall decorations too. Highly recommended. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stars
