Didn’t want to leave any stars but Google will not allow to post. The food was salty, the soup was thick and cloggy and the chicken was soo chewy that after chewing 2 minutes we still could not break it down to swallow.

Hunan Cafe in Burke is my go-to spot! The food is always fresh, portions are generous, and the flavors never disappoint. I’m a spice lover, and they always nail my extra, extra, extra spicy requests.
Service is fast, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean and simple. Prices are super reasonable, and they don’t skimp on the protein.
The only downside? They’re closed on Mondays—but that just makes Tuesday taste even better. 😋

My go to chinese place has been steadily getting worse so I thought I would try hunan. Turns out they are worse. The flavors were all one note and not very good. The General Tsos was super sweet with a little heat but no other real flavors. Which would have probably been fine if the chicken had not been stringy and flavorless. Moo Shu pork was overcooked and had no real flavor other than excessive soy sauce. Here too the texture was off. It seemed like it had been sitting inin a pot for several hours or something.
