If you like Peruvian chicken a la brasa and live in the Burke/Springfield area, this is a good place to go. The selections are more comprehensive than other Peruvian chicken places, offering fried yucca, and even alfajores (which are well made and delicious at $3 a piece). There's plenty of parking right outside the restaurant.
I was excited to try this place out. I have had Peruvian chicken from almost every place in the area. Well, the place was nice and clean and the staffs were friendly. Unfortunately the main dish, the chicken, was super small and lacked flavor. I mean sadly so. I’m not sure if it was even roasted with charcoal. The flavor was so underwhelming. PAPI'S PERUVIAN Chicken, unfortunately, left much to be desired during my recent visit. While the customer service was good, the food itself was mediocre at best and failed to deliver an authentic Peruvian experience.
