One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the DMV area. Raaga Tandoor’s lamb biryani is irresistible! A big shout out to one of the best waitresses I’ve known, Kreeti!!

Words cannot express how happy we are that we discovered this hidden gem when we were simply looking on impulse for an Indian restaurant after a long day. The name seemed familiar from one we had eaten at in Falls Church that was a favorite of ours. And we were pleasantly surprised that they are owned by the same people. The staff here were just as courteous, helpful and efficient making sure our drinks stay full, the plates were cleared away and coming to check on how everything was. The whole experience from the presentation of the food, the portions, the quality of the ingredients, how well it was seasoned and cooked and the pricing for what you get which is a lot was right on mark in every way. We could taste the effort and love that goes into their cooking and how much they take pride in what they do. I think the food is just a bit better seasoned than their other location too. Everything tasted amazing and had our taste buds singing. We could not have asked for a better experience both times we were there for lunch and dinner and we feel most welcomed when we are there. They are wonderful proof that good food traverses boundaries and cultures amd brings people together as also witnessed by the other happy diners there of various ethnicities. Definitely on our list of places to go to and another local business we plan to support very often.Vegetarian options: I personally enjoyed the vegetable pakora, plain saag and chana masala. The only thing that could be better would be a mixed vegetarian option on their main menu either as a entree or appetizer so I could explore more vegetarian dishes before committing to just one.Dietary restrictions: I enjoyed the facts that they were gluten free, nut free and dairy free options as there are times I'm unable to consume these if I'm having digestive issues.Parking: There are quite a few food places as well as a smaller Walmart so parking can be a little challenging though we had no problems finding spots.

Inedible food, delivery ruined my night. I ordered delivery and asked the driver to just ring once and leave the food. Instead, he hammered on the doorbell over and over and over again until I was forced to physically open the door and take the food from him. The racket he made prevented my baby from going to sleep, ruining our night. I ordered multiple dishes, all mild, because I cannot handle spicy food. Every single dish was extremely, mouth-burning spicy. I couldn't take more than a few bites. If you cannot cook mild food then just don't have it as an option!

My recent visit to Raaga Tandoor was an absolute delight! The welcoming ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu boasts a variety of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. From the tender chicken tikka to the fresh naan bread, every bite was a culinary masterpiece. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or simply looking for a delicious meal, Raaga Tandoor is a must-visit destination!

Vegetarian gluten free thali (platter) is an excellent choice of food there. It comes with the main dish of your choice, two side dishes (chick peas and palak/spinach, yogurt sauce, dessert choice of gulab jamun or gluten free rice pudding, naan (not gluten free), and rice, and a soft drink.) The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It is enough for three meals for me. I take my own containers for leftovers. I have gone there at least 30-40 times already. Last year, we got our catering done for our office event for 250 people and they did an excellent job. Everyone loved the food and we had no leftovers. Thank you staff for all your hard work and providing excellent service always. I ordered butter chicken, garlic naan, and mango lassi. The butter chicken: the chicken was plain chicken breast, it was not tandoori so it was dry and tasted a little freezer burned. The sauce tasted like tomato sauce with some spices in it. There was nothing buttery about it. The garlic naan was dry. I have never had dry naan. I couldn’t finish it. The mango lassi was fine but it was maybe 8oz. Even less if you include the ice. The rice was fine. My total was $30 for one of the worst Indian meals I’ve ever had. I ordered it online and still waited 30 minutes after arriving to be given my food. I could tell that the staff had forgotten that I was there. The place was not crowded. I won’t ever go back.

If you like Hyderabadi or Dum Biryani then this is not the place for it. They serve what is known as assembled Biryani. It's spicy but good. Reminds of the Kimchi fried rice I had in Seoul minus the kimchi and of course I tried it with the boneless lamb. It was served with a raita which thankfully was made properly and went well with the biryani to add creaminess and toned down the heat from the peppers . The lamb kebabs are another item I recommend for the meat lovers. We were in the mood for some biryani so didn't try much else. The servers were professional, accommodating, and attentive. Best of all they actually understood what we asked of them. The restaurant small but it is clean, comfortable, and somewhat busy for the
