I go here for lunch all the time, for their Beltway Box deal. Might be one of the few fast food establishments that isn't that 'fast,' cause they cook-to-order, every time. Oven hot everyday. Always burn my mouth on the first bite. A good problem to have. And the chicken doesn't taste overly processed, but fresh. Other than that, the staff barely speak English, so hard to communicate sometimes, but they're friendly enough. Good stuff here.
I tried their food for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation of a new employee at my place of work. I was absolutely shocked by how delicious the sandwich was. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the rooster sauce was dynamite! After lunch, I recommended it to another coworker who then also ordered it for lunch and tried it for the first time. She said she had the same experience I had- life changing! If you’re looking for a chicken sandwich, this is the place...
Generally speaking, I think Roaming Rooster makes some of the best fried chicken sandwiches in the region. That said, I was not thrilled with this location. The seats were sticky and caked on dirt. The lower walls were all pot marked and nicked up.
