My family wanted a pizza on Friday night. Just called at 9:22 pm only to be told that they're closed. I inquired because the website says they close at 10pm. The man said "I believe they closed early tonight." WHAT?! U *believe?* That's a joke & bad business.

Villa Bella is such an amazing restaurant. It can be difficult to get a reservation here as it is really popular in the Burke area, but that's because it is such a unique spot. I love the wood-fired pizzas from here because this style adds to the crispiness of the pizza crust. Calamari fritti is nice and airy, unlike many places where they sometimes make the appetizer too dense or oily. Reasonable amount of salt in the calamari fritti, which impresses me because I don't find that often in the calamari I've gotten from other Italian restaurants. The fried mozzarella and arancini are also some must-haves. Before eating here, I used to not like arancini, but this place has converted me into someone who loves arancini. With pasta dishes, some of my personal favorites are the ziti alla Paesana, manicotti, and ravioli. Their chicken parm pasta is also really good. This cozy restaurant nestled in Burke definitely sets the bar high for Italian food in the DMV and has personally elevated my palate on Italian cuisine. I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, and even a faraway drive is worth it in my opinion. I definitely hope to come back here.

I'm not sure if it was just an off day or if there's been a change in how they make pizza, but the bread was doughy and bready rather then the thin, crisp pizza I remember from Villa Bella. The sauce was great but that was the only part still good. I compared the undercarriage of of my pizza to some older reviews and there were major differences - no black spots, not as dark / golden brown, etc. Also no air bubbles. Overall, very disappointed

One of my favorites food is the Italian, and this restaurant is far from what the food is. I was very excited to go to this place since is 5 minutes from home, but the spaguetties that usually are very straight forward preparation were dry and the seafood wasn't fresh at all, To say something good.It was not a busy day and the order took ridicuously long time. I guess they were in break and the manager lady couldn't be more ready to go home, she was so unwelcomy

Excellent food, whether it's pasta or pizza! The only thing we wish the owners would change is serving large pizzas for dine in (only serve medium) and extending the lunch take out menu for dinner like the hot subs that they have (which are excellent).

Food is amazing. The chicken parm is the best I've ever had. 100% recommend getting that. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and an overall good feeling.

The first thing to know is that you can't get a reservation unless you have 6+ people. We still had no problem getting seated quickly at a take for two.Our waiter was young, so not really helpful picking wine. He was great other than that. The food was good, but not amazing. I had Veal Marsala and my wife had Salmon with pasta and a cream sauce. The brushetta was excellent though. I would get it again.

Today, my wife and I dined at Villa Bella Italian Restaurant. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the 16-ounce ribeye steak, priced at $31. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, delighting us with its taste and quality. However, the accompanying sides left something to be desired. The steak came with a disproportionate amount of sautéed onions and very few potatoes, which was slightly disappointing. I opted for the fettuccine with Alfredo sauce, a classic dish that cost just under $18. To enhance the dish, I added shrimp and chicken for an additional $10. The pasta itself was average - not particularly memorable, but not disappointing either. Our dessert experience, however, fell short of expectations. We ordered the chocolate soufflé, hoping for that delightful molten center, but were met with an overcooked cake instead. At $9, this was a letdown. To conclude our meal, we each had a coffee, priced at $3 each. Sadly, the coffee seemed to have been sitting for a while, as evidenced by its stale taste and aroma. While the ambiance of Villa Bella was quite pleasant and inviting, our overall dining experience was a mix of highs and lows. The perfect steak certainly stood out, but the other elements of our meal were just mediocre or less satisfying.

Decided to try this place after I saw a recommendation for it in a bad review for another local place. Great decision! The food was really good. The brick oven fired pizza was excellent!! Our new favorite Italian joint, for sure. There was one or two miss steps, but not even worth detailing because the staff was so nice and attentive and made it right immediately. We will gladly add this restaurant into our regular rotation!
