After hearing many good things from friends about this restaurant, we went there yesterday to try it out. The business was closed and the sign on the door read "Closed until further notice". Really hate we couldn't try it out.
What's going on, Restaurant has been closed for weeks.

We love this place first time coming to it since the change of name or owners. I will say they need to go back to serving yourself on buffet. I personally do not like it and it seems like it really stresses out the employees serving it. Other than that great place to eat.

Ordered hamburger, which my husband never got! I ordered the bar. Not much to choose from for salad. Chicken and dumplings wasn’t good at all! Macaroni and cheese not good. Not much to choose between! No refill on drinks! I wasn’t happy to pay $14.99 for that buffet. Wasn’t good!! My husband never got his hamburger. I want be back and will not recommend!!! Unsatisfied customer!!!
This is the place you have to go if you are near. We had our dogs in the car. They allowed us to dine in the closed area of the dining room. Where we could see the car. Our remote thermostat stayed connected. We were able to remotly keep the car running. If you do not have a dog, you do not understand. If you have a dog. You know to appreciate this.

Great food. Unfortunately they have really cut back on portions on to-go orders. They don’t let you take a to-go box to the bar like most buffet style restaurants. They have you order it through the kitchen, so you don’t see what you’re getting until you have already paid for it. Picked up a plate to take my elderly mother recently. It had only 6 fried squash and about the same amount of fried okra. Didn’t use to scrimp like this till about two months ago. Sad really. Back to Golden Corral for takeout.
Country cooking at its finest be sure and come hungry they are not shy on the portions.

The buffet looked really good but I usually order from the menu. I ordered the beef stew and it was delicious - truly home cooked. The biscuits are outstanding. Ol' Farmer pies are delicious. Will return.

I was there on 7/26/2023 with men from my church and and we all had great food and service. The waitress were keeping up with taking orders and getting our food to us.The atmosphere is family which is important in my book.

Best biscuits I’ve ever had. We got the buffet. Young man made your plate. I didn’t like how he put the food on the plate plus I ask for more lettuce and cheese for my salad. He put a few pieces of each. I ask for more and he did it again. He acted like he was afraid to put anything on the plate.I guess we will order off the menu next time. Waitress ask if we wanted a refill as we were leaving. We had our empty glasses on the edge of the table. She walked passed us a number of times. Only one other family plus us there. Not like it used to be.

The Ol Farmer is a great spot for family friendly home cooking. The greens and cornbread were a perfect compliment to the fried chicken. Take home a slice of cake or pie for dessert: they're all delicious. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Ol Farmer is our favorite place to eat breakfast. The service is above and beyond great. Everyone there is friendly. Great prices.
