The food is excellent, and the best part is the great staff! They are very nice and a joy to talk to. Also, the coffee is some of the best I’ve ever had, and you can buy ground coffee beans to take home. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The meatloaf was excellent. Collards and mashed potatoes with gravy tasted like Mom was cooking. Great service. Their 1 pound ground steak is as big as the plate it was on. We are from Raleigh and stopped on the way home. We've eaten here before, but they must have new ownership. Everything is nice and clean, good foid and good service. Very friendly.

After waiting 15 minutes at the register with nobody even looking that way, I finally decided to make this post. The food is great, but they seem to stay so short handed that customers can get very frustrated, especially when the restaurant is not even 1/4 busy. When a wait staff member did show up, they were friendly and apologetic. Overall, it's an ok place for a good meal. Just be weary that you may be stuck waiting a while even when the restaurant is less than half full.f Update: On a subsequent visit, there were enough staff to accommodate the customers, and it was an excellent experience. The wait staff were perfect and very nice. The food was awesome.

Tasty collards, pintos and chicken and dumplings. Fried squash was hot and had perfect crusty, crunchy batter. Green beans were good, mac and cheese was just ok. Really laid back interior, nice wait staff. Bunch of regulars eating late lunches.

The food is bland no flavor at all vegetables are can processed,the server wasn’t doing anything on her cell phone and I ask her for a refill she had an awful attitude about it.If you want good veges or a good meal to be honest Cracker Barrel or 13Bones or the Depo,The management team is rude to they are not friendly at all they have attitudes when they serve you.I used to eat here alot cause it’s close to my job but no not anymore I’m tired of spending 50 dollars on two plate and not worth that much I had a shrimp plate with two sides and the portion of the shrimp is unreal it actually looks like a toddler plate to be honest,my husband had a fish plate and the catfish isn’t catfish they use flounder if they are out no one doesn’t know that till a employee told me.If you want to eat somewhere that have a good taste of food I WOULDNT EAT THERE!!!!!!!

My son and I stopped in for breakfast and were impressed by the cleanliness and updated furniture. Our server Hannah was pleasant as well as patient. She answered our questions and gave us a history of recent events (hurricane Helene). The eggs were cooked to a perfect over medium. The hash browns were hot and had the perfect amount of onions (requested) added. The bisquits and gravy were a wonderful addition, and the coffee was hot and never ran low! We enjoyed our time, were not rushed and made to feel welcome. We will be back again!!!
