We LOVE The Cape Charles Distillery! Over the years in their previous location we always made sure that we made it as part of every trip to Cape Charles, and we wouldn't have imagined that they could have improved. Well I stand corrected! The Cape Charles Distillery is now in the old hardware store building and I couldn't believe it when I walked in! They did an amazing job of refurbishing a historical building and I just love the atmosphere. This is a must-see whether you dine on the main floor, relax at the second floor bar or lounge area or head up to the third floor roof top lounge which overlooks Cape Charles and the harbor. It is definitely worth adding to your things you must do in Cape Charles! And the food? Amazing! Tip: Try the baked oysters and the steak and eggs for brunch! Make sure you say hi to Sandra! Tell her Missy sent ya 😎😉 she'll be there to greet ya!

Beautiful building, but it was disappointing that they could not serve/sell their distilled spirits (they are waiting an updated liquor license after moving from across the street). In the meantime all their cocktails are call spirits. The cocktails range from $18-$20.

Check your Receipt ( Over charging)
This is the second time we were here. Last time was a blast and we loved the service. This was the newly opened one across the street . The oysters were good and the cocktails amazing. the Three star is because of how the team handled over charging our table for Extra cocktails we never ordered. When we figured out something was wrong and asked them for the receipt, it took them a long time to get back to us , we could see them talking but left us hanging for a while....and then A LOT of discussions later , they came over and said that we had been overcharged and that they are issuing us a refund . The team we had dealt with the first visit were so impeccable it became the reason we came back but the new team seems untrained to handle these situations . I hope more training will be imparted to them. Otherwise all Cheers.

One thing that is very misleading about this distillery. The name is Cape Charles distillery but this is only a tasting room and they're not actually distilling, aging, or bottling anything at this location. Just wanted to point this out as it's not obvious when you search the web for this distillery. Anyway his review will change as their liquor license gets straightened out. Currently they've just changed locations can only do cocktails and some food. I will say their current location is way nicer than what I usually will go to. Also unfortunately could not taste their various liquors due to the ABC license screw up hopefully that will change soon. I did have an old fashioned with their 120 proof rye whiskey and it was outstanding.

If you're a fan of bugs with your fancy beverages this is the place for you. So many tiny gnats flying around it was hard to enjoy our beverages.

Came to cape Charles for the day. One of our friends recommended us to stop here and we are so glad we did. Great service, nice atmosphere, excellent tapas, and the drinks were very good. We tried 3 off the menu, old fashioned, White Russian, and the Berry Smash. We enjoyed them all. Highly recommend stopping here.

Highly recommend this place. Staff is extremely friendly and very helpful in making your selections. If I ever go back to cape charles I will definitely go back there.
Used to like it here but they won’t allow any children below 12. Hard to leave our 10 month old outside while we have a cocktail. But hey, if you have a 13 year old it’s fine?

Went while on vacation. Nice patio with a lot of seating outside. Very little seating inside. Service was not good. Pricey for drinks. We were only offered drink menus, food was not an option. Drinks were okay, but didn’t love them.
