“Our family ordered take out for our first time from here. There are no pictures because it was eaten so fast! The baklava and cannolis were the perfect desert for the paninis and asian noodle bowls. I also enjoyed their coffee and tea bar!”
“Four of his had dinner here last night. One ordered gluten free and dairy free pizza. She said it was very good!Another ordered linguine and meatballs. Delicious!Brussel sprouts were amazing!Pizza was awesome!Wonderful meal! Will definitely be back!”
“My friend and I took a day trip to Cape Charles. After walking the trails in Kiptopeke Park, we wanted to get something easy for lunch. She had looked up this place and suggested some grab and go sandwiches and I was all for it.The sandwiches are $9 and I had the HARDEST time choosing just one. They all looked and sounded so delicious. I went with the Tazewell, which they stated was their best seller. The staff was so friendly, talking me through the sandwiches and daily prep. The croissant bread is baked fresh every morning. I was eyeballing the Cronuts but didn't get them. I did hear a lady walk buy on the sidewalk eating one and she exclaimed, "OMG best thing I've ever had!"This was the most satisfying sandwich and it hit the spot! I will definitely be back to try a different one next time I'm there!”
“This is the best American restaurant in the Hampton Roads/Eastern Shore area without a doubt. We went twice and the food did not disappoint. The restaurant is small but very intimate with a warm staff. Truly a gem standing out in a sea of mediocrity.”
“Third time here! Great food and service in a wonderful charming cozy atmosphere! A definite must stop in CC! Highly recommend.Wheelchair accessibility: Hotel has a ramp. Kudos!”
“So lovely. The wine, Longhe doc Nebbiolo 2021, was delicious. The food -tapas- even better. Pork shanks were amazing. Mussels - ask how to enjoy the broth. Josephine and Paul are wonderful.”
“Cristina and Keith are the most caring and authentic people, and we could not be luckier to have their incredible Italian cuisine in Cape Charles! Delicious charcuterie and cheese boards, pastas, and the BEST tiramisu ever! Always the best night when we come here.”
“We were on our way home from a mission trip and wanted a good lunch. We found it! The food was delicious, especially the fried chicken. We were off season so we did not have to wait to be seated. We would definitely eat there again when we are in the area.”
“Top China is a Chinese-American Restaurant that excels at providing exactly what you're looking for. Despite a lack of other rival restaurants that offer similar cuisine, (it's a small town, of course) they continue to provide fantastic food for their patrons. I've had similar food from various areas all over the country but what I can say, is that Top China provides consistent results. In a world that changes their ingredients to suit rising costs, sometimes the food just doesn't taste the way it "used to." You won't find that here. Everytime I order my favorites, it's exactly as good as before. Of course, their prices have risen over the years, but what restaurant hasn't fallen subject to the same? Despite that, my family and I can always rely on Top China to provide great food that we know we'll be more than happy with.”
“I admit - I wasn't expecting much when we had brunch scheduled here. The menu is pretty basic. It's situated in a beautiful clubhouse on this exclusive, private golf community resort. The building is an old-world wooden beams and large ceilings feel and the pro shop is very nice. (Rumor has it this is going to be converted into a finer dining restaurant since it's such a beautiful space). The Tavern overlooks the driving range and has windows all around and plenty of seating. It wasn't busy at 10am on a Sunday and we were able to choose our table. Our waitress was prompt and nice. I ordered some sides of breakfast sausage, biscuits and fruit to go with the oatmeal bar I chose since I was worried it wouldn't be very good.Actually, the oatmeal was delicious and they had fresh blueberries for toppings as well as sliced almonds, cranberries and brown sugar. It was yummy! All my sides were about $2-3 and each was a huge serving. Two biscuits, two pieces of sausage and a huge portion of fruit that would be $7 in VAB.My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich with eggs, protein and cheese with potatoes and a side of fruit. He was also happy with his portion size and food.Prices are wonderful and the food was very good - I would def. eat here again. Now, it's not fine dining and it def. isn't a bougie cute little coffee shop with loads of instagrammable options and cute lattes, but it got the job done for a fair price.”
“Got the large peperoni pizza and it was ABSOLUTELY amazing. We decided to wait for the pizza to finish out in out car, and the lady was nice enough to bring it out to us. 100% we will be eaing there again.”
“It's like an old drug store diner...or it is actually an old time drug store fountain since Rayfields Pharmacy has been around a long time. Great basic breakfast and lunch counter type foods....quick service. It has the atmosphere of a drugstore because the Fountain is in the drugstore...enjoyed it!”
“I stop here every chance I get, food is very good here, Breakfast, lunch and dinner, Great atmosphere ?????Parking: Big parking lotKid-friendliness: Very friendly peopleWheelchair accessibility: Yes”
“Been here for lunch several times. BBQ sandwiches are fantastic! Service is great. Place is clean with a friendly atmosphere. Couldn't ask for anything more!”
“It was a rainy day. We went for a drive, and the very friendly woman at the Cape Charles visitor center recommended this place. The food was so good! My husband tried a new beer, which he enjoyed. Laid back atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful! The only bummer was they didn't have their famous Mimi's mac and cheese. They have a cute children's book written about Mimi's mac and cheese.”
