“I had the pleasure of visiting the brewery last weekend. The beer selection was varied and very good. I especially liked the Pumpkin and the Porter. We ordered food and it was served quickly and in large portions. Our menu items were the nachos, Rockfish sandwich, and the fish tacos which were all delicious. I met the owner, Mark, his wife Deborah, and their daughter Rachel. They were extremely friendly, personable, and quite funny. This is a great brewery and I hope to get a chance to visit again. I highly recommend Cape Charles Brewery.”

“Brown Dog Ice Cream is one of the best spots on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Their ice cream is made locally, the flavor variety is wonderful, and it is definitely a must-stop if you are visiting Cape Charles.”

“Excellent Customer Service I was greeted with a smile and very very positive attitude. The food is amazing and a burrito is huge. I actually made three meals off of it. I ate half for the first thing and split the other half and ate it for breakfast for two days mixed with the scrambled eggs it was incredible. The food is very good and a staff is amazing. I highly recommend this place.”

“Cristina and CJ made our anniversary so very special. I keep dreaming about the Mahi mahi and pepper dish I had, it was out of the world!!! The scallops were prepared perfectly and the meat board was Spectacular, as well!! We felt like we were right in Italy. Ambrogia definitely gives you the authentic Italian experience!! “Definitely nothing fancy about this vineyard. Driving into you might think the children of the corn will greet you, but keep going and you'll end up at the little building. Mostly an outdoor venue, the room inside is not very big, you may be able have space for 1 small group to do one, but its a no frill indoors. The wine definitely is the reason to come though. My wife generally enjoys them all on her sampler. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”

“In my solo travels I passed The Great Machipongo Clam Shack. It looked really cute and I remembered my son and his dad mentioned they went there and said they loved it. So I decided to stop. As soon as I entered I loved the vibe. Behind the counter, there was a bumper sticker that said practice forgiveness. They had pictures of the Dalai Lama on the wall. They had peace, love, and clams painted on another wall along with Imagine. The staff was kind and attentive and made me immediately feel at home. I chatted with one of the employees named Lisa and appreciated the “love is the answer” bumper sticker she gave me as I left and will proudly display it on my car along with my other “hippie” bumper stickers. As I sat waiting for my food I enjoyed listening to music from the 60s and 70s. My food was brought to me by a woman that greeted me with a big smile. I was checked on a few times by the various friendly employees. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. The food was great and I left feeling I had a wonderful experience.”

“Our sister suggested that we stop in Cape Charles on our way from Maryland to NC and she specifically recommended to get a grab & go lunch (our time was short) at Cravings. OMGOSH, our sandwiches (ham & Swiss on rectangular homemade croissants)were AHHH-MAZING!! We encourage EVERYONE to visit Cravings and be ready for a great treat for your tastebuds! The owners are delightful!!”

“Froggy's was recommended by a friend, and I am so glad. I ordered a custom pizza: White, with onions and basil. They had fresh basil !!! I have had pizza all over this country, and I can honestly say this is one of the very top bests I have ever tasted. Fresh, beautiful ingredients in perfect, exquisite proportion, baked to perfection. So happy to know where to go for great Pizza!!!!!!! Thank you.”

“October 2, 2021- Very good! I come to Cape Charles all the time and have been wanting to stop here forever. Finally made it today! Saw the special on their Facebook page and decided to give it a try. It's the Shorely Pumpkin. Pumpkin pie ice cream, caramel swirl, whipped cream, waffle, graham cracker around the edge and probably some other stuff in there too! 😂😂💯🙌”

“It's inside the pharmacy, just as it's ALWAYS been, this is just the new location. You can sit at a booth or pick a stool at the counter and watch the food being made. For breakfast, try the sweet potato pancakes and deep fried scrapple (the only way to enjoy it).”

The shrimp was horrible and way over priced over battered, and fried too hard hell I cut the roof of mouth up eating that💩...how do you buy shrimp from a big box store and turn around and resell it..for 22$ 8 shrimp and fries the shrimp should have been peeled, deveined, butterflied,hand battered and drop in oil. I would not recommend this place. It's sad that the freakin locals thinks this place is good. I saw in another review the best thing they got was the cornbread. Two servers and one cook. not to mention it cost us 32$ round trip to travel on that tunnel/bridge. well you read my review....eat and spend your money at your own risk.”

“We vacation in Cape Charles each summer. We started going to the Coach House this year. Some of the most amazing food you will ever eat. The new chef is absolutely NAILING IT! EVERYthing is delicious. The bar is so nice and calm. Elizabeth was our bartender most nights. She is the sweetest, most attentive, considerate employee we had contact with and there were many. But the Chef must be commended. The food is divine.”

Connected to the lobby of the Cape Charles Hotel the space is bright and maintained. The Coffee, Chai Teas, breakfast sandwiches and Avocado toast are all good. Service is friendly and fast. Opens at 7 before most other cafes.”

“Food was good. Good crabcake sandwich and shrimp basket. It is a small Cafe so it would happen to get full there will be a wait. But you are at a campground so where are you going in a hurry?”
