“Amanda the manager was wonderful. I have a gluten sensitivity and there’s no where else quick to grab food in the area on a roadtrip. Navigating fast food restaurants with any sort of food sensitivity or allergy is so difficult, but Amanda was really helpful and patient. She even brought the food out to me when it was ready even though it was a to go order. Excellent customer service!”

“This place was a great quick stop to launch our daily adventure! Their breakfast sandwiches and burritos were just what we needed to start the day. They serve local coffee from Eastern Shore Coastal Roasting Co. The dark roast Fog Cutter blend was great!

“In my solo travels I passed The Great Machipongo Clam Shack. It looked really cute and I remembered my son and his dad mentioned they went there and said they loved it. So I decided to stop. As soon as I entered I loved the vibe. Behind the counter, there was a bumper sticker that said practice forgiveness. They had pictures of the Dalai Lama on the wall. They had peace, love, and clams painted on another wall along with Imagine. The staff was kind and attentive and made me immediately feel at home. I chatted with one of the employees named Lisa and appreciated the “love is the answer” bumper sticker she gave me as I left and will proudly display it on my car along with my other “hippie” bumper stickers. As I sat waiting for my food I enjoyed listening to music from the 60s and 70s. My food was brought to me by a woman that greeted me with a big smile. I was checked on a few times by the various friendly employees. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. The food was great and I left feeling I had a wonderful experience.”
