We have tried numerous places in VA for the last 6yrs trying to find the same taste as back home (Cali) and was constantly disappointed till we tried Franks. y'all are the only place that delivers that same quality and taste we were missing/looking for. The atmosphere is one of a kind and always top notch service and respect.”

“I've been excited to try this place for awhile. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. We sat inside due to the humidity. We ordered the She crab soup as an appetizer. It arrived with a warm light bread and 2 spoons to share. It was tasty with bits of crab. It was a bit pricey at $14. My main entree was a soft shell crab sandwich and a side of rice and beans ($19) My friend got the flounder basket with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. ($24). We found everything to be fresh and tasty. Our server was not the friendliest, but she checked on us. Overall, it was a good experience and worth the trip.”

“I've been in the locality for 60 days and have gone here once a week! It's fresh, delicious, fast and reasonably price. I usually order pick-up. When I called, I had trouble hearing them once due to a connection issue, but they got my order PERFECT when I picked it up. I usually get a noodle dish, a rice dish, the fresh shrimp spring roles, and the Mango Sicky Rice. Great portions on everything (though it's so tasty, I always want more). It's rarely super busy which is head shaking and makes it a hidden treasure!”

“My girlfriends and I tried their dining experience yesterday and we were not disappointed at all. Our server, Cat, was amazing! We started with some drinks, which she made and OMG the Belle Isle, which has Lavender Moonshine in it, is now one of my favorite drinks! 🍹 We had the fried oysters and crab dip appetizers. The oysters were so fresh and was battered and fried perfectly, I must say. The crab dip with pita bread was so delicious! We all said we could have eaten that and would have been completely satisfied. We all ordered the same entree, the Cobb Salad, with ranch dressing. Everything was so fresh! To top everything off, we visited The Market, which is their pastry/bakery shop. I purchased the HoHo cupcake, a lemon zinger cookie and a chocolate chip cookie. I’ve eaten some of the lemon zinger and it is delicious! The General Manager was very nice and shared with us the history of this wonderful establishment. This is a place where you can take your family, have a nice day or night date, they have space for a private party or if you just want to have a nice meal at the bar. I am definitely returning. “As of yesterday, I was a first timer....we ordered the baked lasagna and a steak n' cheese sub. The food was DELICIOUS, and arrived in a timely manner, still warm,, and packaged nicely....we are ordering the baked lasagna again tonight, and trying the pizza....I highly recommend this restaurant, and have started spreading the word....also, warm and friendly customer service, which can be truly hard to find.”

I had the lobster, shrimp, and Salmon. The salmon and lobster were covered in butter. The bad part was that the fries were on the plate when the butter was applied which soaked the fries in butter. This made the fries very soft and mushy.”

“This is the ideal restaurant you'd want to patron. The actual inside of the restaurant is beautifully sparce and open, which is exactly what I want in a chinese restaurant. A place that puts all it's effort and care into the food and let's it speak for itself.

I walked in and was immediately greeted loudly and warmly by the woman behind the counter. The prices were incredible and the amount of food you get is beyond generous for the price. The flavor is delicious. There's a wonderful freshness to the food that you can only get when the people cooking truly love the food they make. Unless you have an allergy or something, do yourself a favor and take the food as they make it, at least once. I'm actually sad that I don't live down here, because I don't have any place this good where I live.

“We go here about once a month, primarily because they’re the only buffet in town. They used to put $3 off coupons in the Val Pak, but stopped recently for whatever reason. While the food is good, it’s predictable (they pretty much always have the same items) and if you show up before dinner you’re typically getting older food that’s sat there since lunchtime. Also their prices have gone up considerably since we started going, almost double what we used to pay. There’s a large seafood selection which is mostly unappealing to me, and I love seafood, I just don’t care for crawfish, stuffed crab or mussels. There’s been better buffets in town but sadly they’re all gone now. So, if you’re going, go during lunch or after 5, maybe steer clear of the seafood, and don’t get your hopes up that this will be your new favorite spot.”

The store manager is nice and caring as well. Again this store is great but McDonald's and other major FAST food chains aren't fitting that FAST food theme anymore and has not for years. Technology impacts the overall efficiency of this company and significantly needs balance or an update.”

We held a private gathering there on March 9, 2026, after a funeral, and they treated our entire family with so much love and care. Anthony was amazing from start to finish, staying in contact, checking in, and making sure everything went smoothly. The whole family and staff were just as kind, welcoming, and attentive. We had over 75 people, and everyone raved about the food (which was delicious!) and the service. They truly went above and beyond for us. After the event, a few of us stayed and talked with their Nona (Mima). She is one of the warmest, sweetest souls I’ve ever met. We shared stories and hugs, and it meant so much. Mama Rosa’s is a treasure. If you’re thinking about going — GO! Don’t think twice.”

“My wife and I went there yesterday afternoon after a date day. We had the Loaded Nachos as an appetizer. We then ordered the "Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders" and a "The Classic Burger". The loaded nachos were a huge plate. My wife and I had discussed going to a chain restaurant later in the evening for dinner while we were waiting for our food to come out but immediately changed our minds when we the seen the size of the appetizer. All the food looked good and tasted great also. The only negative thing we thought of the visit was the fact that the sodas we had come in a 12 ounce can and we were charged $2.49. We only drank the one can because we did not feel that we were able get free refills and that expense seemed way too high for one 12 ounce can of soda. We did enjoy the location, the multiple TV's and variety of programs playing on them. This place at 230 in the afternoon felt like a very relaxed place and we will come back again.”

“We have eaten at Pour Girls several times and the food and service are always excellent. Last Saturday they went above and beyond! My son and daughter-in-law chose this location for their reception. Pour Girls was the best! The space is reasonably priced, we have our own bar and restrooms all upstairs. It comfortably seated all our guests with some room left for dancing. The food was excellent, the service friendly, professional and like we were old friends. I highly recommend them for their brunch or anytime. And if you have an event, check them out.”

“I came to Baked today on a friend’s recommendation and I am already hooked. I eat a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches and theirs is the BEST! They chop up the bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The staff is very friendly as well. This is not just a pizza place, they have breakfast, sandwiches, ice cream, a big wine bottle selection, full bar, gaming play area and cozy corner. “I consider myself well traveled when it comes to pizza. My first job was at a small pizzeria making the pizzas from scratch. I've tried pizza abroad in more than 15 countries. I can say this may be the best pizza I've ever had.

Pizza is a balance between toppings, crust and sauce. Very few places get two of those right. Gus's gets all of them right. The toppings that are best crispy were perfect, the sauce was balanced and tasty, the dough/crust was very good (I don't love bread so very good is high praise from me).

I'm upset I didn't know about Gus's sooner. I might've eaten every night while I was in Hampton. I cannot more highly recommend this restaurant.”

They have a kiosk to self order but I believe they was only one so that may be an issue if there's a line. Their online photos showed a large bakery display but that could have been a Va Beach location because Hampton did not have al large display so that was disappointing. I ordered the red chai which was very tasty but definitely different. I also ordered a waffle like pastry which was good, a bit gooey in the middle as not being fully cooked, but still good. Maybe I will forego the pastry next time and stick with a coffee.”

“I’ve been to Toro Sushi for about 5 times and it’s a very great spot to eat at! The food was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. There’s a good variety of rolls and other menu options, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and relaxing, making it a nice place to go with friends or family.
The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Overall, I had a really good experience at Toro Sushi. Between the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the service, I would most definitely recommend giving this place a try!”

“The food was great. There were lots of plant based options. My husband claims it was the best vegan pizza he's had. I enjoyed my chicken bacon ranch. Overall the quality of the food did not disappoint, even though it was a long wait (30 min). Despite the place being short staffed, the service did not suffer for it. Can't say the same about most other places. Pretty sure the girl who took our order also made the food. She was super nice and I'd give her personally 5 stars just for doing so much.
The only thing that could have made the experience better would be some music. While waiting, the dining area was silent. I don't know if it wasn't working, but music would have been a nice distraction. I'm used to most restaurants having some type of playlist to listen to.”

“Holy canoli I ordered a NY Style at midnight for pickup and by god it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had in my entire life, whoever was in there cooking that night I hope you see this, you’re doing the lords work in that kitchen”

“Ive been into Hangry Joe's 3 times to work my way up from their middle spice to the top. Each time the wraps were delicious but the first time their med spice wasnt very spicy at all. 2nd time their 2nd hottest gave a pleasant tingle but nothing crazy. This last time their peak spice was just what I was looking for! It is hot enough to get you borderline hiccuping but makes my mouth so happy and warm lol. I do enjoy spicy food but Im not a complete spice head. If you commonly eat spicy food I think others could handle the top but use your own judgement lol.

Fried are good as well. The sauce that comes with em is amazing and their loaded Mac n cheese is delicious and has way more chicken than ya would think. It could be a meal on its own.
