Two days ago, I received an email informing me of a new addition to their menu ...... she crab soup. My wife and I were thrilled and decided to check it out this evening. We arrived, order wine and a beer, and were informed that the she crab soup ran out yesterday. I'm hoping that, in the future, if the owner is going to advertise a new menu item, that item should be on the menu. If it is not available, the owner should consider sending an email to his VIP members.”

“Met a client for dinner and it was a great recommendation! I had actually eaten already but decided to grab some light bites so that my client didn't have to eat alone.
I ordered the buffalo shrimp and a cup of chili. I like that the shrimp was cooked in the buffalo sauce and not just thrown on when it finished cooking. They were very saucy and I just realized that I failed to get a picture of them.
The cup of chilli was filled to the brim and came with the option of having sour cream, cheese, as well as one of the best pieces of corn bread that I've eaten outside of home. It was thick and sweet and cooked to perfection!
Our server was exceptional, she had the perfect blend of allowing us time and ability to converse while also being discreetly attentive to our needs.
Also ordered a piece of cheesecake to go and it was as delicious as they come, even without toppings! The only tipping that they had was raspberry sauce and I'm more of a strawberry person but this generously portioned cheesecake didn't even need it.
The environment was very intimate and allowed for private conversations. There was also a room which looks like it may be used for somewhat larger groups but I'm not sure.
It did not take long to get a table, as they were ready to seat us immediately upon arrival.
There is an intimate parking lot but I believe the lot adjacent to it can also possibly be used- but I didn't check it out. There is also limited street parking, which could likely be competitive outside of the Sunday that we met.
The menu has a lot of variety and there are options for every type of pallet. Based on my experience, I would definitely return and would recommend them highly.”

“I have finally found my favorite restaurant after living in the area 2 years! The food was so good I woke up this morning still imagining every delicious moment last night. The visit started with incredibly friendly staff, an original mocktail made by the talented bartender, and warm, fresh focaccia. Both appetizers ordered were superb. My main course, the butternut squash ravioli with Italian sausage...omg...the flavor in each bite...the way it hit on the palette with just the perfect blends of texture, spice and sauce was nothing short of revolutionary. It made me want to stand up and proclaim that I had FINALLY found the love I had been looking for my entire life! Luckily for those around me, I didn't do that, but I really wanted to. Our entire table was blown away as we ate varying dishes from the ravioli special to the spaghetti limone to the fresh flounder. I'm afraid anyone overhearing our table commenting on the absolutely outstanding orgasmic flavors of our food as we ate might have thought we were under the influence of psychedelics...but we were only under the influence of the exceptional food, wine and mocktails being served from the superb Chef and staff. As if that wasn't enough, we ended our meal with the chocolate mousse, which was able to give us that one last flavor climax with its perfectly balanced dark yet so satisfying chocolate tones. OMG. MIND BLOWN. Blanca reminds me of food I would find at a high end restaurant in San Francisco or NYC, yet with the friendliness, comfortable ambiance and welcoming energy of a smaller city. Wow. Just Wow. Amazing. I can't wait to go back. The world is a better place with the food and people of Blanca in it!”

Refills are free but they just bring the chips and you have to ask if you need more condiments. I also was charged a $1.50 because I wanted my tacos Lola’s way. I don’t remember seeing additional $1.50 to have them made that way on the menu. Also, sign outside margueritas are $7 all day everyday but then we we charged $8 each because you had to pay $1 extra for the flavoring. All these lovely add ons add up and you are not aware until the bill comes. Lastly there was a man working behind the bar with a very long beard. Since long hair needs to be tied back - this beard should have been ponytailed, in a net or shaved off. After seeing that I almost threw up my meal and my drink that he prepared.”

“This was our second time at Four Eleven York—and it was just as wonderful as the first! The ambiance is so cozy, and we genuinely felt like we had the place to ourselves. Nicole, our server, was fantastic—professional, friendly, and somehow always there right when we needed her. “I’ve eaten here now 5 times. Gone for an evening date, family gathering of 8, and a regular dinner for 4 out and about in town. They can accommodate anything. The food is excellent, creative and unique. Staff is nice and helpful, and hardworking. This is a staple for me. Parking on the street hasn’t been a problem but also garages are available or uber if you are enjoying the neat drink menu.”

All you could see was the kitchen door flying open lol as the waitresses was bringing dishes I mean we only do fine dining when we eat out but I honestly wasn’t expecting something at this caliber seriously, you know we eat alot of places and sometimes the food just doesn’t be seasoned the way you expected especially if its plated nicely. Because it’s true we eat with our eyes first! But let me tell you!!! Goddd KISS THE CHEF!! The Owner, Owners whoever lol because every aspect was on point from service to atmosphere it really was unbelievable! I felt like I was in a major city!! Miami especially because I’ve had the oxtail lasagna there so I advised my wife to get that and I got the 37oz Tomahawk for 2 top with crab meat lol I love a good steak seriously. I mean it was cooked and seasoned to perfection with roasted potatoes and onions OMG I’M GOING BACK THERE!! Soon!! We could not have gotten a more perfect waiter. Kyle was extremely polite and was very attentive to our needs. The drinks he served were perfect. The food served was above par. He even wished my wife a happy birthday and made sure she had everything she wanted. Kyle is the sort of waiter that you look for and hope for. He was perfect for our little celebration. From my experience, the interior is usually empty, as most customers use the drive-thru or pick-up. It’s a spot I would choose if I wanted to sit down, eat, and enjoy some time away from everyone for a few hours.”

“It's kind of a sliver of a restaurant, but worth the trip. The cook was especially cool, and accommodating and served delicious food. I had the catfish, and I believe that my wife had flounder, with mac and cheese and greens. Of course, my daughter had chicken tenders. Come to find out, the cook is a Jersey homeboy. Shouts to Fuego from Paterson aka Shamel from Staten Island! 😂😂😂 Definitely worth the trip, and would go back whenever in town again.”

When we asked to be moved to a larger (there were 3 open larger tables) we were told that the "wait" was too long. All 3 tables sat empty the entire time we ate. 3 of the 6 people in our party ordered the blackened sword fish at $34/plate. The orders came as grilled and they were severely over cooked. When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.”

It was disappointing to learn that too late. It was a rainy cold evening and the seating for the event was in their inclosed outside seating area. Throughout the evening you got burst of cold air in spite of the heaters it was cold. Going into the colder months I definitely would not attend if they don’t change the location of the dinner in their restaurant. The food and wine were good but nothing overly impressive. The last wine was Federalist which is a very inexpensive everyday wine that you can get at total wine for under $20. I guess I was expecting more from the wine dinner which is why I say I was underwhelmed.”

Miami especially because I’ve had the oxtail lasagna there so I advised my wife to get that and I got the 37oz Tomahawk for 2 top with crab meat lol I love a good steak seriously. We didn’t get any appetizers because I wanted to save my appetite and my mental was in my pocket lol if you know what I mean but a $100 for a tomahawk with roasted potatoes it was no way I wasn’t gonna have that for dinner and some left for breakfast with cheese eggs in the morning lol Now when my steak came out! I ordered medium in which I expected to see pink because medium requires pink and who orders a well done steak anyway??? I mean it was cooked and seasoned to perfection with roasted potatoes and onions OMG I’M GOING BACK THERE!! Soon!! I had called to ask if they would accommodate dietary requests such as vegetarian/pescatarian and was told no however last evening they had several people that they accomadated for dietary requests. It was disappointing to learn that too late. It was a rainy cold evening and the seating for the event was in their inclosed outside seating area. Throughout the evening you got burst of cold air in spite of the heaters it was cold. Going into the colder months I definitely would not attend if they don’t change the location of the dinner in their restaurant. The food and wine were good but nothing overly impressive. The last wine was Federalist which is a very inexpensive everyday wine that you can get at total wine for under $20. You see, I'm from St. Louis just four hours away and was tied to thin crust, like cracker thin--which I still very much love. But that Chicago pizza had such a weird texture and what not. Flashforward to today and 1,400 miles to the east, I moved to Norfolk for a job almost twenty years ago, and um. I don't know if my taste buds changed, or if this place just knows how to do it the way it should be, but that place in Chicago has nothing on this. I scoffed at first at the price, that is until I tried it at the urging of a co-worker and each slice is like a whole meal. The texture, the taste, the crust. Perfection. I never though I was a deep dish fan of any kind until Del Vecchios showed me how it is supposed to be done. Add to that the comradery of the staff and the personal nature of the wait-staff. Del Vecchios is among the best pizza I've had, bar none. They are proof of the advantages of venturing outside the safe mediocre comfort of chains and trying the smaller mom and pop tried and true places because now that I've had it, I don't want Chicago style pizza from anyone else, even in Chicago.”

When we mentioned that the orders were wrong, we were told that they could take that fish back add blackened seasoning and re cook the same (already overcooked) fish. We asked to speak to the manager, whose immediate solution was to take off the automatic gratuity and just not tip our server. We never got an apology for the food being wrong, and the manager was completely rude the entire time. The manager's final solution was to take $4 off of a $80 bill. We will not be back.”

“We couldn’t have imagined a better venue than The Harbor Club at Waterside for our wedding. We hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there, and it was truly perfect from start to finish. For anyone from Norfolk, there is something incredibly sentimental about Waterside, and The Harbor Club captures that feeling while also being absolutely stunning. The space itself is beautiful and unique for a non-traditional wedding location, and the large balcony overlooking the Elizabeth River offers breathtaking views that make the venue feel extra special.
The location in Downtown Norfolk truly cannot be beat, especially for out-of-town guests. We reserved hotel blocks at nearby hotels, and the majority of our guests were able to walk to the wedding, which made the entire day feel easy and relaxed. We also reserved the small lot beside Waterside for the afternoon and evening of our wedding, which we highly recommend. It created additional ease for local guests and removed any stress around parking.
We used the inside of The Harbor Club for both our ceremony and reception, with cocktail hour held outside on the balcony. With 110 guests, the space was the perfect size. Everything flowed naturally, and guests had easy access to restrooms that were closed to the public, which was a huge plus. During cocktail hour, we were lucky to experience an incredible sunset filled with pinks and purples, creating an unforgettable backdrop over the river and some truly stunning photos.
In addition to the location, the staff at The Harbor Club were a major highlight. Jenn, the Private Events Sales Manager, was our main point of contact and was absolutely wonderful to work with. From the beginning, she communicated clearly and made it easy to trust her and her team. She was incredibly familiar with our other vendors, which made the entire planning process feel seamless. Jenn always made us feel supported and heard and patiently answered our many questions, especially as we worked to narrow down all of the amazing menu options. She was also incredibly personable and a joy to work with.
We also worked with Dishon during our tasting and on the wedding day. He was calm, professional, and kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes. On the day of our wedding, we had the pleasure of interacting with the Harbor Club bartenders, servers, and head chef as well, and it is truly not an exaggeration to say that every single one of them made us and our guests feel special. They treated everyone with enthusiasm, respect, and kindness. We only wish we had written down everyone’s names so we could recognize them individually!

“The setting is gorgeous, but the interior could use a designer for a more coastal environment. The crab cakes are the best in the area, but they need better healthy sides. I also had the best soft shell crab in the area there a few months ago. Hire a chef versus a cook. More healthy versions of seafood are needed versus mostly fried and salted. As an excellent cook, I could turn this place into a hot neighborhood spot that people could walk to/from. Many times the price does not meet the quality of food unless I order the crab cakes. I have seen waiters bring out broccoli with worms moving around and florets that have overstayed their time in the kitchen.”

Two days ago, I received an email informing me of a new addition to their menu ...... she crab soup. My wife and I were thrilled and decided to check it out this evening. We arrived, order wine and a beer, and were informed that the she crab soup ran out yesterday. I'm hoping that, in the future, if the owner is going to advertise a new menu item, that item should be on the menu. If it is not available, the owner should consider sending an email to his VIP members.”

“Omg where do I start!!! Me and my wife came Friday the 16th!! We didn’t have a reservation and I promise you I suggest making one especially on I house guess the weekend. We decided to sit at the bar instead of a window seat I also let the host know if someone cancels or if a Hi top come available please let us know. After 2 cocktails in which was amazing we got lucky got a seat! All you could see was the kitchen door flying open lol as the waitresses was bringing dishes I mean we only do fine dining when we eat out but I honestly wasn’t expecting something at this caliber seriously, you know we eat alot of places and sometimes the food just doesn’t be seasoned the way you expected especially if its plated nicely. Because it’s true we eat with our eyes first! But let me tell you!!! Goddd KISS THE CHEF!! The Owner, Owners whoever lol because every aspect was on point from service to atmosphere it really was unbelievable! I felt like I was in a major city!! Miami especially because I’ve had the oxtail lasagna there so I advised my wife to get that and I got the 37oz Tomahawk for 2 top with crab meat lol I love a good steak seriously. We didn’t get any appetizers because I wanted to save my appetite and my mental was in my pocket lol if you know what I mean but a $100 for a tomahawk with roasted potatoes it was no way I wasn’t gonna have that for dinner and some left for breakfast with cheese eggs in the morning lol Now when my steak came out! I ordered medium in which I expected to see pink because medium requires pink and who orders a well done steak anyway??? I mean it was cooked and seasoned to perfection with roasted potatoes and onions OMG I’M GOING BACK THERE!! Soon!! I taste my wife oxtail lasagna because she just kept saying how much better it tasted here lol so I did and she wasn’t exaggerating I mean the pasta sauce was sweet with garlic Omg how did they make a sauce that good and it had tomato chunks in it not the big crazy chunks but just perfect everything was PERFECT THIS PLACE DESERVES A MICHELIN⭐️ if thats possible in this area Ive ate in numerous countries because of my military background but this place is one for the books!!”

It's clean, bright and cheery with plenty of parking and outdoor seating. They offer a wide variety of different chicken salads, sandwiches, sides and desserts. The food is fresh and delicious and the prices are competitive. I was particularly pleased they offered a pimento cheese just like my mother used to make. Even when I kept changing the delivery time, you and your team were accommodating and professional. We are from out of state and reserved a hotel suite to celebrate our graduate. The food arrived piping hot and my guests loved EVERYTHING. Escovitched fish, jerk chicken, rice and peas, Mac ‘n cheese, cabbage and the largest pillows of coco bread I’ve ever seen. The ‘to-go’ containers were definitely used as everyone packed a plate to eat later in the evening. I even shared the ever so tender oxtails with a couple of guests.
