“Going to a concert in Norfolk. We happened to come upon this little restaurant. As soon as we walked in the music, the décor was stunning. Once we were seated, even though we didn't have reservations, our experience began. We had appetizers and the amount of food and the presention was out of this world. This is definitely our go to place forever in Norfolk.“
“(I received an email stating they had extended the Garden of Lights and that they offer a mobility shuttle on value nights. )This was a perfect opportunity to enjoy some lights with my husband, and bring another family member who otherwise wouldn't have been able to walk the entire route. The mobility shuttle is included in the price of admission, however one must contact the office to make reservations. They have a limited number of seats on the tram and will assign you a row ( each row has four seats). We had to arrive between 4:30-4:45pm to check in at the visitor center. The tram left at 5pm to tour the entire route of the lights at a good leisurely pace. It took roughly 30 minutes to complete the route. Since it wasn't completely dark when we started the tour of lights, the first half/three fourths weren't as magical and twinkly & sparkly as i'm sure it looks when it's completely dark and the lights illuminate with such fervor and vibrancy. We did enjoy the lights and they are a beautiful, mystical electrical sight, however we weren't able to witness it's full spectacular until the last part of the tour. It would have been a 5 star experience had they started the tram later for better visibility of the holiday lights. I'm guessing several reasons the tram starts right when the lights open are due to high foot traffic during open hours which isn't conducive for a tram to navigate, the other being for everyone's safety. Maybe the idea of starting much later would present additional safety and challenge issues with loading/unloading people on the tram due to lower visibility. If logistically and economically possible, maybe next winter season they can push the opening time a little later to accommodate for sundown and have portable floodlights surrounding the tram area for loading and unloading if those are partly the reasons? If at all?I think it's wonderful they strive to be all encompassing, as everyone should be able to enjoy the outdoors, especially without having to be concerned about navigating the logistics of a desired activity/event. Staff were safe, expeditious, efficient and friendly! Make sure to dress according to the weather, it's an open tram. We made sure we had hats, layers on, including long johns. That night was so frigid and even being bundled up I could still feel the cold creeping through. When we visited, we arrived early prior to check in & loading. It would have been helpful or appreciated if staff had offered /suggested to visitors the food vendor availability & location information to utilize that wait time for us to grab some hot drinks and snacks. We didn't see the food vendors until everyone went outside to load. Nor did anyone else. My husband was a tad irritated that he didn't know he had an option to get some drinks & snacks from Bear house coffee, duck donuts and another vendor prior.“
“The Cure in Newport News is such a comfortable environment and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. The Crème Brûlée macchiato was absolutely perfect as well as their “The Hangover Cure” breakfast sandwich. I will definitely be coming here again!“
“This is my second home and favorite stop on my walk back from church on Sundays ?The atmosphere is airy and relaxed, the staff attentive and professional, the pizzas are hot and delish, and of course, the beer is chilled, fresh, and Elated! Do yourselves a favor and make this your regular spot too - you’re welcome!“
“I don’t write ratings so consider this even better…. This place slaps. I came in here after cutting down some trees with the crew down the street and clearing a back lot of growth debris. I ate the steak and mushroom with provolone. Seriously, that stuff slapped so hard. Simple, amazing, and I wanted more than the footlong. I will definitely be back.“
“Elation is solid. Gorgeous build-out with a wide-open, industrial feel...great for groups with plentiful indoor and outdoor seating. Excellent variety of beer choices and NA options. Wouldn't say there is a stand-out, must-have brew, but everything I've tried has been tasty (been more impressed with their darker beer options). The highlight here is actually the pizza -- try The Hive with pepperoni, basil, and hot honey...Ric Flair woo-inducing.Bar service is friendly but thinly staffed (you have to queue to order/close-out at the register).Elation is a perfect happy hour/after-work spot, but definitely NOT a place to watch a football game as it's not a sports bar, and there are no TVs to be found. That being said, it's easy to stream a game on a phone and attract an audience at the bar. Trivia here on Thursdays could improve -- it drags on for over 2.5 hrs with poor audio quality and a low payout. All in all, it's a nice neighborhood brewery in the Larchmont area.“
“My mom and I visited this location for the first time today. It wasn't busy at all. I went to the kiosk to order the food /drinks and our order was ready within a few minutes. We ordered the two entrees with a side. My mom stated that the half turkey sandwich that she had was a little dry and she have ordered a soup with it. I ordered the half Mediterranean veggie sandwich and it hit the spot.“
“I don’t always have time to meal prep so clean eatz has made my life SO much easier. I have a gluten allergy, a nut allergy and a dairy allergy, l’ve tried other meal prep services and I’m not sure if it’s something they use to cook the food but it will irritate my gut a lot of the time. Clean Eatz is the only place that I’ve never had any issues with. And they’re customizable based on your goals and preferences. All of the locations are great but Norfolk is definitely the best!! Try the watch your waist wrap and thank me later ;)Dietary restrictions: I have a weird diet and a bunch of allergies and nothing has ever irritated my gut from here!!“
“The food here is absolutely DELICIOUS! We had the wings for the appetizer and they were absolutely perfect. And then for the entree I had a burger and fries and my man had steak, scallops, and a baked potato. 10/10! Definitely would come back❤️Vegetarian options: They have a salad bar“
“I love the name "Regular Ass Sandwich" lol. I think they used to have their own building, but now they share with Handsome Biscuit. The staff were super nice and fast. We got the chicken salad sandwich and guess what, it was a regular ass sandwich. I'm a little picky with my chicken salad to be honest, but they had the perfect ratio. The potato salad was yummy as well, creamy! I would totally go here again! Especially when I'm craving a hearty sandwich that feels like home. We also got fruit roll ups on the side just to add to the 2000s feel. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it didn't wow me with flavor. It was good for sure, but nothing crazy. There is also no in person location so that makes me sad.Overall, thank you for the food! A good meal!“
“My husband and I love Greater Grinders! He had a steak and cheese. I had a Greater Grinder (added sweet and hot peppers...mmm!) The toasted bread is the best! The seasoning and oil and vinegar take it to another level. We had a whole sub and neither of us could finish it, even though we really wanted to. The price is really reasonable too!Parking: The lot is not a large lot, but it seems to be ample parking.“
“This is all you need, 5 stars! I didn't visit this time but i thought how interesting the lines were still wrapped around the building with employees in tents, on foot delivering food, and the line was moving while Popeyes was out of chicken PERIOD 👠👠. I watched all this unfold at o traffic light in the Chesapeake Square area.“
“I have to speak out- now their sandwiches are bomb you can’t deny that. I will sing the praises of the Lynnhaven, Tidewater, Boardwalk, etc but DO NOT ORDER from their frozen prepared meals. I tried the crispy Asian meatballs, Bacon wrapped meatloaf, and ham and gruyere quiche. Meatballs- so salty they were inedible, also crispy?! How meatballs in sauce go from frozen to crispy is beyond me, but I assure you they were not. Meatloaf- the recommended cook time was all wrong (it was cold in the middle), the only flavor came from the sauce (which I’m pretty sure was just sweet baby ray’s), and when I cut into it and tried to put a piece on my plate it crumbled like taco meat- the texture was all wrong. Quiche- flavor was actually pretty good and balanced but it was SO watery the crust on the bottom didn’t stand a chance. All over- they do fresh very well but that frozen section just isn’t working and could potentially hurt their reputation. I feel like I wasted my $47- wish I had spent that on sandwiches, salads, and chantilly lime bars“
“Ordered delivery, first time customer. Food came sooner than expected, was piping hot and delicious (eggplant parm sub) I also got a side salad and loved all the veggies in it!! They just forgot my dressing. No biggie! Everything was delicious!“
“There's none another fast food outlet on the planet besides Chick-fil-A so the rest of you eat your heart out I'm going to get me a Chick-fil-A sandwich no butter no pickle double Texas Pete a side salad with apple vinaigrette dressing yummy“
“The best Thai food in the Virginia Beach area. They have too many locations. The owner runs a business with over 15 years of experience. It’s very authentic Thai food. They have one at Red Mill ( Va beach) and Norfolk. I love all food. Please try it out you will love it. Only one place has authentic Thai food.“
“Me and my family went for lunch the service was very good they were patient. The baby’s car seat was able to fit in the booth. The food was fast and already in a takeout style bowl so you just needed to ask for a lid and you were good to go. There were also a lot of cute shops from left to right so we made a whole day of it.Parking: This is one of the only places around that hard parking around back. Plenty of room.“
“What a nice surprise, they use a traditional Italian fire burning oven, each pizza is handmade, you choose a large variety of toppings almost like subway, and it's delicious, I'm personally hooked. I haven't tried the pasta yet.Kid-friendliness: Kids can build their own pizza“
“Great food, and awesome service. We got salads here to add to a dinner we've picked up next door from a new BBQ place and the salads both had nice, healthy portions. Lady behind the counter was very attentive, helpful, honest, cordial and accommodating. Delivery person also ensured we were taken care of while we were waiting for our food. Would highly recommend.“
“William and Rayna were enough to make me come back before even trying the food! So friendly, helpful and inviting. But holy cow the food is AWESOME. Pepperoni and mushroom pizza , italian sub, onion rings, jalapeño poppers. All the best we have had in quite a while. We will definitely be back again and again.“
“I have to say love it place a other for delivery Tuesday deals on bakers bagel awesome, got a free sandwich & a really big and nice free tote with my order. Their half gallon mango juice addictive & if you don't have the app & rewards program get 100 % recommended. It was here deliver carefully, we'll packed thank you so much.Kid-friendliness: My kids love it here always nice“
“The mushroom pie may be the best pizza I've ever had in my life, and boy have I eaten a lot of pizza. Not the biggest fan of the winter pie, but that's on me because I don't really like kale. The place is small (park around back), so it's hard to get a table if busy, but it's definitely worth it.Parking: Park around the back!“
