“Can't say enough good things about this place. Best pizza I've had in Virginia. I probably eat here 3 or 4 times a month since I'm in va Beach. Highly recommend the cheese pizza, its like a mix of an authentic italian pizza and a ny pizza. All of their pies especially their seasonal ones are great. The staff and zoe at the counter are extremely nice. They can get busy and or sold out, but that's a sign to tell you they're good. Definitely worth the wait!“

“Pretty good. Got a single slice of pepperoni for $4.09. It was thin crust. The crust and bottom was crisp, but the toppings were a little undercooked for my liking. Could probably ask them to cook it a little longer. I like it better than Marcos.“

“1st time ever eating here, and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. What's better than pizza? Pizza, you have control over lol it's literally like Subway but for Pizza. My wife and I stopped here one day for lunch, and we figured we'd try something different. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered to personal pizzas made how we like and loved it. Surprisingly the crust is great as well as the toppings. We can't wait until we go back. Highly reccomended.
Stopped again today (10/17/24) Same good pizza and service.

“So I'm currently 6 months pregnant and order from here a lot. Like a lot a lot. Anyways the staff are always very friendly and kind. I have yet to have a bad experience, the pizza is always exactly what I want, hot and fresh. The manager who works there is super kind, he's usually the one who brings my pizza to the car, and is an amazing employee. I will be crushed when we move in April and I have to find a new dominos.“

“I haven’t been in here in years since I moved away. But I recently moved back and decided to try Cal’z and see if they were still as delicious and amazing as they were before, and fortunately, they did not disappoint! The food was great, and I must say the service that Jade, the girl at the front counter, gave me was above and beyond! She was so nice, friendly, professional, and she even helped me have a wonderful experience back after all these years! Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac, first time I went, pizza was amazing didn't get glutened. Second time amazing experience but unfortunately got glutened, waitress did warn before hand they couldn't guarantee gluten contamination so it was on me for taking the risk ?. So far 50/50 on getting glutened however it's one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've had.“

“Stopped in tonight around 7:30. There were about 12 tables occupied. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to come over to seat us. And that basically set the pace for the rest of the experience… server was very nice but the service was extremely slow. Drinks took about 10 minutes, bread and salad took about 20. Dinner was served quickly after we got our salad. To-go boxes took awhile too. We were never asked if we wanted more wine. Like I said server was very nice but I feel like she had a lot more going on than taking care of her tables. The food on the other hand was absolutely amazing. We will be back again just because of the food!“

“Im very happy I tried this place despite the reviews. After PizzaHut allowing a DoorDasher to steal my $50 order, Domino's taking 1+ hour no matter the time or day, I was craving a pizza and found this place. I ordered online, and didn't even get the time to snap a photo of the pizza because I ate it so quickly. It was so good! The ingredients tasted like actual food, not freezer burnt chicken cubes, and the delivery was about 20 minutes faster than predicted. My delivery guy was so kind too!! I ordered on a Thursday night so I'm not sure if it was that quick just because they might not have been busy, or if this is the standard but either way I was impressed. They dont use door dash or any other 3rd party delivery service so I dont have to worry about someone stealing my food. Will be my go to!!“

“Wow I was sitting here in Ghana Africa and a thaught came to me. I asked my wife what was the name of that sub place we use to always order from when I was stationed in Norfolk. I was stationed at NOB on the USS Iwo Jima in 1992 until decommissioned in 1993 then to the USS WASP 93 to 96. We used to always order from Cals Pizza and subs. I used to get the cheese steak sub and suicide wings. This place was the best. Good to see they are still in business serving Virginia and the Navy. It brings back good memories for me as a young kid in the Navy.“

“Reference point- I’m a pizza nut truck driver who was raised in the New York area. I made a delivery to the BJ’s down the road and thankfully noticed Sals. You locals are very fortunate. The true test of any pizza place claiming to make New York pizza is would they survive if they were in NY. I can happily say this is the real deal. If you haven’t tried Sal’s, pop in for lunch, pick a slice from one of the beautiful pies in the glass case and you won’t want to get pizza anywhere else…you’re welcome.“

I ordered something from On Ice beside them for a late pick-up, and the two businesses coordinated so I could get something from On Ice after they’d closed, I’d just need to pick it up from Little Caesars. The worker there was so friendly and helpful and got me situated with my On Ice order, and I grabbed a Hot-N-Ready from Little Caesars to take to our DND game, and everything was amazing! I appreciate y’all bending over backwards to help me!“

“Been going to Cogan’s since I was in high school across the street. Food is always great, atmosphere hasn’t changed and the service is awesome. It does get busy and sometimes there isn’t enough servers so you do end up waiting awhile for service but they are always the realest and nicest people.“

Would definitely recommend if you find yourselves in Norfolk and want the perfect slice of NY pizza to satisfy your tastes. The pizza I ordered was 1 slice of four cheese and 1 slice of pepperoni, both were very tasty and hot. The cheese was melty, the slices are enormous like NY pizza should be, the pepperoni was crispy, and the cheese on both pizzas were delicious. “I ordered through the Pizza Hut site, and although the DoorDash driver messed up the delivery, Pizza Hut’s customer service was fantastic. They quickly resolved the issue by remaking my order, and I was very happy with how they handled it. I ordered the Big New Yorker with double pepperoni and the Medium Tavern Ultimate pizza, along with Cinnabon Mini Rolls. The Medium Tavern was my favorite—delicious and flavorful! Overall, the food was great, and I will definitely order again. While I might opt for pick-up next time to avoid delivery issues, I’m very satisfied with the service and food quality.“
