39 Best Pizza Restaurants in Newport News

“Best pizza and subs in town!“

“Food will speak for its self. Great authentic pizza. Dough is homemade and you can taste the work and effort they put into their ingredients. If you know and love what genuine pizza should taste like, this place is a must try. Great job guys! Keep up your hard work!“

“Do not get the sample dozen box if you don't want to be plagued with learning that what you thought was your favorite donut is not because you've tried something new! If you don't like friendly customer service, don't talk to Mike. He will make sure to try and get you what you want and then some. And... if you like to search for donut filling this is not the place for you. It is not possible to not get some in every bite. If you are weak, bring a friend to help you carry these absurdly heavy, heavenly things. But if you do, you will risk having to share with them, so choose your person wisely. So bottom line that no thanks to you, I have found my new favorite donut shop ❤️ Well done guys! I'm so glad you are not on the way to my work as I would surely struggle to not stop there daily!“

“Love this place!!! Great food, great people, great vibes“

“Amazing pizza! Great wine! Great vibe! They’ve truly put together an amazing atmosphere. We’ve always loved coming here!“

“The name is accurate - they will give you a small cheese pizza for $5. It’s pretty damn good too.

Picture this: you’re a hard working blue collar man at the shipyard with $20 in your account that’s gotta stretch one more night. You want to forget the past week because your wife just served you with papers and threatened to take the kids. Your truck just threw a check engine light after you threw the entire autozone parts catalog at it. Your stomach starts to growl right as you pass a place literally called $5 Pizza. You think it’s too good to be true but you pull in, and lo and behold these pizza wizards will feed you a cheese pizza for $5. You realize that you CAN afford to throw yourself a pity party tonight and relive your college days. You then swing by the gas station nearby for 6 tallboy beers because they’re on sale. You go home expecting a reheated frozen pizza and you take one bite and realize you’ve been served the best deal in Hampton Roads. The cheese is astoundingly cheesy and the crust has a rich melt-in-your-mouth feel. For a second you’re thrown back to your days before you drop out of the state college you were pressured to go to, just hanging with the boys on a budget with cheap beer and cheap pizza from Little Ceasar’s. But reality smacks you in the face and you realize that was 10 years ago and the Hot and Ready now costs $9. You read the divorce papers but those can wait. You enjoy your $5 pizza and drink your beer. Because you realize that in a world full of bitter exes who try to take your kids and full of pizza companies that have forgotten the working men of America, you realize that one place quietly on the border of Newport News and Hampton has not forgotten you at all. In fact they embrace you and fill your stomach with quality food at a great price.

And that place is called $5 Pizza.

(They also have other products that are pretty good too.)“

“Carry out today not the best. Went through a spell a while back and stopped going for a while. Hope today was just off. Will try again best week“

“Always love coming here. Went recently and the bartenders were phenomenal.“

“They really have good food options and my favourite is the lamb over rice“

“This restaurant has a great breakfast but what makes it great is Kim she goes above & beyond with the customers. You can have good food but the people make the place.“

“love their pizza family specials. it's our go to every friday night :)“

“Had lunch here for the first time today. Met a group of old friends. The wait staff was very attentive and accommodating to all of us. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their selections and most of us had enough that we had to take some home. One even ordered more food to go. We will definitely go back. Thankyou for a great experience. 💕“

“Always great food and quick service. This is a Midwest favorite. If haven't tried them, give it a go, you won't regret it!

Staff is friendly here and location is clean.

Glad to have a Donatos all the way down in Virginia!“

“Excellent Subs and service! 😎👍👍“

“I work here, and I enjoy serving my customers“

“I needed to find a caterer for my classes 50th reunion. Mose worked with me to select a menu that was perfect and met our every need. Classmates are still telling me how much they enjoyed the food. Thank you to the entire Vinny’s staff for doing an exceptional job for us!“

“Felt like I was visiting “the good ole days” where people are friendly and serve great food. Unlike the chain restaurants of today. So refreshing!“

“I dropped by the other day for a quick bite to go, and picked up a sausage roll … and man oh man was it fantastic!!! The workers were wonderful and the food was incredible!!!! I would recommend everyone/anyone to run, not walk to Vinnie’s!!! It was the best, and the prices were great!! Will be returning to try other things on the menu, soon!!“

“Great pizza and will be returning“

“احلي اكل في الكون المعلم عصام مختار“

“went there last night for the first time for some drinks and food.. I've lived in the. neighborhood for a year and wish I would have checked this place out sooner..loved it“

“great food, fair prices, and quick service“

“People don't do this enough so I'm going to. Today at 5:30 on May 15th I came in to pick up two pizzas for my kids. There are three gentlemen there working all of which were extremely nice and welcoming as I entered the door. Incredibly helpful ,everybody's hustling but again the thing that stood out the most was the way they treated everyone when they walked in. Much respect to these guys.“

“Love the atmosphere, friendly staff, all the music 😀 🎶☮️and events and of course the food. Also very family oriented, my family LOVES going there.“

“I just came here with my two sons and the waitress was amazing. Very accommodating for us and she put baseball on the TV for my son. The pizza was delicious! I have been looking for great pizza here since I moved from New Jersey and honestly this is the best that I have found. I would love to come back. Thank you very much for the delicious pizza and the hospitality.“

“For a pizza place connected to a movie theater, I was thinking theme park quality, at best. Instead, this beats any major pizza chain--the 'za was actually damn good! You'd have to go to a good local place to do any better. Pictured is "the kitchen sink".“

“Stopped by to have a bite the strombollie was on point with lots of meat and cheese and little bread which is great most places skimp on cheese and meat cuz thay are making profit margins better but this was on point keep up the good work guys was also fast food was ready time in line 2 min faster than a chick- filet 😆 🤣“

“Since they have opened this location, we have eaten there almost every week. The staff are friendly and quick with orders. Everything we have ordered has been top quality, would be nice to have some pepperoni hot n' ready pizzas available but it's not going to stop me from coming back, that's for sure!“

“We do delivery only. The food never disappoints, but the drivers never pay attention to the instructions in the app. We ask them to leave the food at our door, and they always stand there until we answer. That will always be my only complaint. Everything else is good.“

“Been ordering from Papa Johns for at least 20 years now. Can't get any better!“

“I have been coming here ever since I discovered the good prices and late hours. The workers have always been very nice and the food has always been good to excellent. Is it the best pizza I’ve ever had? No. Is it the best I’ve ever had for only $10 though? It certainly might be. Highly recommend!“

“I ordered pizza 🍕 earlier today 05/06/26 around 4:35 pm after work because I was starving and I got home with my pizza 🍕 and it was dry, not enough sauce on it 🤦‍♀ but I had no choice but to eat it because I live in downtown Newport News and the store is a little ways uptown 🤷‍♀“

“I would like to shout out the young man that was working the morning of February 13th. I called to the store and the young man that answered was very helpful. what had happened was y’all‘s Competition that starts with a D. Promised me that they could fulfill my needs. But when I called they said if I needed delivery it would be delivered in an hour to an hour and 30 minutes. I had 16 three-year-olds waiting for pizza to be delivered. But I wanna thanks the young men at Papa John’s for making my three-year-olds happy.“

“Delivery time was quicker than the time they estimated and the pizza arrived in good shape and still steaming hot. The pizza itself was a work of art and the sauce-cheese ratio was perfection. The crust was a great balance of fluffy and crispy. Thanks everybody- keep it up :)“

“just wanted to thank the manager for cooking and sending out this burnt pizza and then hanging up on me because I wasnt satisfied. . #NoGURANTEE #PIZZAPICS @DOMINOS“

“I love the pizza. We always order a specialty pizza. At first i would always receive my order as requested, however the last few months they have been ignoring the garlic and romasean crust ON ALL MY ORDERS. When we ask them about it, the attitude and the lack of responsibility in wanting to correct the issue is too much.“
