“Been trying to get here for ages! Scored 2 seats at the bar and had a thoroughly wonderful time. 4 appetizers later we give it 4 thumbs up! Lovely wine list and our brilliant bartender concocted me a custom cocktail when I confessed an aversion to a specific ingredient.
Was delighted to see so many people greeted by name around us. Had the feel of a locals favorite for sure. Love living in Gloucester but Circa 1918 was a delightful sojourn!
PS we scored a curbside spot out front as a cherry on top.

“Great food, very fresh! We came on a Sunday shortly after opening and they got our food to us quick and it was very good. Staff was super nice and helpful in making a choice of which option to get. Dining area is comfy and well lit. Really enjoyed our visit!“

“Interesting menu items. The bathroom is a little different. I stop off here infrequently on my way to training or if I have other business in the area. The family has great service skills and are efficient owrking large crowds during lunch.“

“This is one restaurant that never disappoints. Food is delicious and always served at the correct temperature. The staff is exceedingly helpful and accommodating. They have various evenings when there is a special menu, which gives you a variety from the main menu. Their once a month Dinner and Cocktail events are not to be missed. Their support of the World Kitchen during COVID was very impressive and all the more reason to be a regular patron.“

“The owners are super nice. Our food is always hot and delicious. I always get two pork chop sandwiches with tomato lettuce and onions with French fries and two egg rolls. I may even drink a beer while we are there. It's a chill place to go and shoot pool and listen to some good music and laugh with friends.“

“We go here a lot on Saturday nights. The comics are pretty good and some better than others. The staff is very friendly. The food is pretty good too, especially the meatballs!!! I highly suggest for a night out and some laughs. I would call ahead and reserve a seat.“

“We had the King Suite and the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom was big and so was the living room area. There is only one bathroom so our daughtet had to use the one in our room. Although the pull out couch was okay she preffered the roll away bed that they provided when asked. When you walk into your room there is a switch by the door that you must turn on to turn the bathroom lights on and off in the bathroom. The bathroom was a nice size with good lighting. The floor can be a little slippery when wet. It may have been the type of tile. The pool area was very nice and enjoyed. The lobby area is a nice size. Oh although you cant tell the King Suite door closes and locks. The staff was very friendly all the time. When ever we needed anything they were there to assist. Overall I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Besides the one bathroom in the suite I would give 10 because of the confort. If continental breakfast was availablenit would have been 12“

“This restaurant is a hidden gem, the menu has so many options and every item was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect for a nice dinner, prices were good, the chocolate espresso martini in particular was out of this world, and to top it all off our server Rick was the absolute best!! “I usually call ahead so when I go on lunch I can just grab it, pay, and go. Even if I don't call ahead of time the food is made quickly and tastes fine. $10 for a bacon cheeseburger with a decent amount of fries and a canned drink is honestly the best deal you'll get around here as a shipyard worker, at least in my opinion. They aren't rude, as some other reviews have said, they're just blunt. And I respect that. All in all 4/5 stars and I'll continue to eat here.“

“My daughters favorite. The chef is the man, when a drunk guy came in and started bothering me for free food the chef stepped in and kicked him out. I had just said excuse me once and the staff was ready to kick ass for me, i was blown away. Great service and great staff. 100% recommend location.“
