“I ordered pizzas from Cosco for my daughter’s bday. At the time of the birthday party when it was time to pick them up, they didn’t have a single one ready. I called this papa John’s and they had me 10 pizzas ready in about 20 minutes. I couldn’t believe it they saved the day. “We had a great dinner at Joe and Mimma’s. The atmosphere is quiet, family-style, and old-school Italian in the best way. It is easy to see why they have been in business for more than 50 years.

Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish.

Everything we ordered was delicious, including Caesar salads, garlic knots, baked ziti, and especially the penne alla vodka with chicken, which was the standout of the meal. Portions were generous and the quality of the food was excellent.

Pricing felt fair and realistic for both the quality and quantity of food we received.

“Do not get the sample dozen box if you don't want to be plagued with learning that what you thought was your favorite donut is not because you've tried something new! If you don't like friendly customer service, don't talk to Mike. He will make sure to try and get you what you want and then some. And... if you like to search for donut filling this is not the place for you. It is not possible to not get some in every bite. If you are weak, bring a friend to help you carry these absurdly heavy, heavenly things. But if you do, you will risk having to share with them, so choose your person wisely. “I have been here quite a few times and it is always AMAZING! the salad is perfect and out of our group of 4 people EVERY dish was perfect! Normally I don’t eat a lot or enjoy sit down restaurants but this place is amazing. I love how fresh the food tastes, it always comes out hot and the people there that own and work there are the nicest people you will meet. Great portion sizes, quick and amazing service. Honestly it has been for years and is still my favorite resteraunt. Also the fried chicken wing appetizer was surprisingly the best fried chicken I have ever had so I definitely recommend it. The vegetarian options are also delicious if you prefer. Seriously I can’t recommend this place enough.“

Kids voted for pizza but I've been pretty unhappy with Marcos lately. Googled nearby delivery and their reviews seemed great. They're in Lackey off Old Willamsburg Rd. The pies were fantastic!I Big slices, New York style crust, and the sauce was perfect! Not too sweet and just the right consistency. 🤌🏻🤌🏻 We also got a baked ziti which came with a side salad and garlic knots. It was more than enough for two people to share and came to us nice and hot. We will definitely be ordering from them again!!“

Picture this: you’re a hard working blue collar man at the shipyard with $20 in your account that’s gotta stretch one more night. You want to forget the past week because your wife just served you with papers and threatened to take the kids. Your truck just threw a check engine light after you threw the entire autozone parts catalog at it. Your stomach starts to growl right as you pass a place literally called $5 Pizza. You think it’s too good to be true but you pull in, and lo and behold these pizza wizards will feed you a cheese pizza for $5. You realize that you CAN afford to throw yourself a pity party tonight and relive your college days. You then swing by the gas station nearby for 6 tallboy beers because they’re on sale. You go home expecting a reheated frozen pizza and you take one bite and realize you’ve been served the best deal in Hampton Roads. The cheese is astoundingly cheesy and the crust has a rich melt-in-your-mouth feel. For a second you’re thrown back to your days before you drop out of the state college you were pressured to go to, just hanging with the boys on a budget with cheap beer and cheap pizza from Little Ceasar’s. But reality smacks you in the face and you realize that was 10 years ago and the Hot and Ready now costs $9. You read the divorce papers but those can wait. You enjoy your $5 pizza and drink your beer. Because you realize that in a world full of bitter exes who try to take your kids and full of pizza companies that have forgotten the working men of America, you realize that one place quietly on the border of Newport News and Hampton has not forgotten you at all.
