“We had a great dinner at Joe and Mimma’s. The atmosphere is quiet, family-style, and old-school Italian in the best way. It is easy to see why they have been in business for more than 50 years.
Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish.
Everything we ordered was delicious, including Caesar salads, garlic knots, baked ziti, and especially the penne alla vodka with chicken, which was the standout of the meal. Portions were generous and the quality of the food was excellent.
Pricing felt fair and realistic for both the quality and quantity of food we received.
A great local restaurant with good food and good service. We will definitely be back.“

“Stopped on an early Sunday afternoon in November. Both my wife an I ordered the Po'Boy with fried oysters. She had the homemade fresh fries and I paid a dollar extra for the "side salad". Both f us enjoyed the sandwiches that were made with fresh bread and 5 delicious oysters. She enjoyed the fries and I was overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the sala. My only complaint is that her Coke was $4.50. But then we were in something that resembled a bar. We would both come again when we are in the area,“

“Spectacular in every way. Chad, Kip, and their entire staff go out of their way to ensure you have the best experience. I met them for the first time catering a wedding (I am also a vendor). Their catered food was out of this world. So good that I had to make the drive to Newport News to eat in the restaurant. To say they delivered would be an understatement. James at the bar makes the most delicious, creative, elaborate cocktails. The Blood Oath was my favorite! Their fried oysters were our favorite dish— crispy and a little spicy! The duck was so unique, sweet and savory, and cooked excellently. My husband is now obsessed with their banana foster cheesecake. Everything we had was truly perfect and we are so impressed. We will be loyal fans of Circa 1918 for life!“

“Do not let the picture of the outside fool you, this place is fantastic. It is nicely decorated, offers excellent service, and the food had large portions and is extremely well done. We had a party if 7 and almost everyone ordered a different dish. Everyone enjoyed their food and a few people ordered dessert as well. The price is very reasonable, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We can't wait to go back.“

“We have been coming here for over 15 years and nothing compares. Introduced by a friend at their old location. Their food is consistent and good. The service is prompt ,friendly and they are family now. I have tried Thai food all over the USA and they are the best. The pad thai is the best I’ve ever had. I say a must try!!!!“

“My friends and family through a surprise 50th birthday for me and what a spread from you all!!! The food was amazing!!!! “If I could fine a 6 Star review I would! What an awesome evening. Started off with drinks upstairs, and moved down when our table for 12 was ready. With a large group one would expect that service would be slow, but Leslie D was super! So great that I HAD to speak to the manager to tell him how awesome she was! Ask for her when you come, and you will not be disappointed! We were all very much satisfied! I enjoyed the roasted oysters (four orders for the table) and the Fish and Chips. The Old Fashioned(s) were awesome, as were the Key Lime Crushes and the Lemon Drop Martinis. We celebrated my wife's birthday with all the family. We even had a visit at the table from a young man we had not seen since we lived in Bena over 39 years ago! Great place. We have been here several times preciously and will return. Thank you Leslie for such great service.“

“As of yesterday, I was a first timer....we ordered the baked lasagna and a steak n' cheese sub. The food was DELICIOUS, and arrived in a timely manner, still warm,, and packaged nicely....we are ordering the baked lasagna again tonight, and trying the pizza....I highly recommend this restaurant, and have started spreading the word....also, warm and friendly customer service, which can be truly hard to find.“

“After our first visit to Kero Sushi & Japanese Restaurant today, we can see why it's so popular. The restaurant is clean and thoughtfully decorated, the staff is kind and courteous, and the food is fresh, yummy, and well priced. We loved the chirashi lunch and three-item special. Lunch specials are available until 3 PM, and we recommend bringing cash for the 10% discount!“
