“Mom and Son Thai Kitchen is the best Thai restaurant that I’ve tried. My family loves it as do all the family and friends that I’ve recommended it to. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. I’ve always liked Thai food, but I LOVE the Thai food from Mom and Son Thai Kitchen. It is very fresh and full of flavor. Everything I’ve had tastes like it was made from scratch with love. My favorite dishes are the Thai fried rice, basil stir fry, Pad Kee Mao, and the Thai Noodle Soup. If you’ve never tried this place, go try it ASAP!“

“Do not let the exterior fool you, this place is gold. The interior could use some love but honestly it doesn’t bother me.

The girl behind the counter was kind, professional, and even gave me a bottle of Pepsi instead of a can because that was cold and the cans were still warm as she just restocked them. Just the thoughtfulness made me want to leave this review.

The two men behind the counter making the food were super friendly and very polite.

The pizza was crispy, had the right balance of cheese and sauce and could tell it was fresh.

I also ordered the stuffed shells and MAN. They were amazing. They cooked it just enough so the shells weren’t soggy and the cheese was crispy on top of the shells in all the right ways. 10/10.

The prices were awesome too, I didn’t walk away being like dang should I really have bought that after. I believe my bill was $19 for the soda, a slice, side salad, and shells.

I’ll be back to try other items on the menu because this place deserves more than 4.0 stars.“

The Philly wasn’t seasoned enough for me, but they provided extra garlic salt & it was perfect once added! The fries weren’t my favorite cut or texture, but it was hot & complemented my sub. The reese's  cup cookie was delicious and was a flavorful way to end my meal. This location is in desperate need of a remodel, but I’ll be back !“

“Met a client for dinner and it was a great recommendation! I had actually eaten already but decided to grab some light bites so that my client didn't have to eat alone.

I ordered the buffalo shrimp and a cup of chili. I like that the shrimp was cooked in the buffalo sauce and not just thrown on when it finished cooking. They were very saucy and I just realized that I failed to get a picture of them.

The cup of chilli was filled to the brim and came with the option of having sour cream, cheese, as well as one of the best pieces of corn bread that I've eaten outside of home. It was thick and sweet and cooked to perfection!

Our server was exceptional, she had the perfect blend of allowing us time and ability to converse while also being discreetly attentive to our needs.

Also ordered a piece of cheesecake to go and it was as delicious as they come, even without toppings! The only tipping that they had was raspberry sauce and I'm more of a strawberry person but this generously portioned cheesecake didn't even need it.

The environment was very intimate and allowed for private conversations. There was also a room which looks like it may be used for somewhat larger groups but I'm not sure.

It did not take long to get a table, as they were ready to seat us immediately upon arrival.

There is an intimate parking lot but I believe the lot adjacent to it can also possibly be used- but I didn't check it out. There is also limited street parking, which could likely be competitive outside of the Sunday that we met.

The menu has a lot of variety and there are options for every type of pallet. Based on my experience, I would definitely return and would recommend them highly.“

We decided to sit at the bar instead of a window seat I also let the host know if someone cancels or if a Hi top come available please let us know. After 2 cocktails in which was amazing we got lucky got a seat! All you could see was the kitchen door flying open lol as the waitresses was bringing dishes I mean we only do fine dining when we eat out but I honestly wasn’t expecting something at this caliber seriously, you know we eat alot of places and sometimes the food just doesn’t be seasoned the way you expected especially if its plated nicely. Because it’s true we eat with our eyes first! But let me tell you!!! Goddd KISS THE CHEF!! The Owner, Owners whoever lol because every aspect was on point from service to atmosphere it really was unbelievable! I felt like I was in a major city!! Miami especially because I’ve had the oxtail lasagna there so I advised my wife to get that and I got the 37oz Tomahawk for 2 top with crab meat lol I love a good steak seriously. We didn’t get any appetizers because I wanted to save my appetite and my mental was in my pocket lol if you know what I mean but a $100 for a tomahawk with roasted potatoes it was no way I wasn’t gonna have that for dinner and some left for breakfast with cheese eggs in the morning lol Now when my steak came out! I ordered medium in which I expected to see pink because medium requires pink and who orders a well done steak anyway??? I mean it was cooked and seasoned to perfection with roasted potatoes and onions OMG I’M GOING BACK THERE!! Soon!! I taste my wife oxtail lasagna because she just kept saying how much better it tasted here lol so I did and she wasn’t exaggerating I mean the pasta sauce was sweet with garlic Omg how did they make a sauce that good and it had tomato chunks in it not the big crazy chunks but just perfect everything was PERFECT THIS PLACE DESERVES A MICHELIN⭐️ if thats possible in this area Ive ate in numerous countries because of my military background but this place is one for the books!!“

“Health protocols was observed during our recent visit. Delicious and healthy menu choices. I ordered Harissa Avocado bowl while hubby had Arugula bowl. Each dish had a mixture of greens, protein and carbs. There’s no wrong choices here, everything is fresh and filling! We will definitely go back“

“Wow I was sitting here in Ghana Africa and a thaught came to me. I asked my wife what was the name of that sub place we use to always order from when I was stationed in Norfolk. I was stationed at NOB on the USS Iwo Jima in 1992 until decommissioned in 1993 then to the USS WASP 93 to 96. We used to always order from Cals Pizza and subs. I used to get the cheese steak sub and suicide wings. This place was the best. Good to see they are still in business serving Virginia and the Navy. It brings back good memories for me as a young kid in the Navy.“

I called the store right away and spoke to James, one of the managers. He offered me a replacement, as well as 2 free bakery items, which I thought was very generous. Today I went in to collect my items, and I also bought two cookies. The counter person was very nice, and went to get the manager. He as very polite and accommodating, and took care of my order. “This past Saturday (5/30/26) I was having a very hard day so I decided to stop Here to grab some food while I was on my way home from work. The young woman who took my order was very kind, but the thing that stood out to me the most was the gentleman who was standing at the window Handing people their food (I can’t remember his name, but this was round 7:30pm ish) He was an absolute ray of sunshine. He saw me as someone who was very clearly struggling and reminded me that there is such thing as kind people in this world. “The best Thai food in the Virginia Beach area. They have too many locations. The owner runs a business with over 15 years of experience. It’s very authentic Thai food. They have one at Red Mill ( Va beach) and Norfolk. I love all food. Please try it out you will love it. Only one place has authentic Thai food.“
