“I’m not one to give a good review unless it’s truly worth it. One thing I don’t like is when people are dishonest about a restaurant’s food just for popularity. But when I tell you I traveled across the water today to get this food based on someone else’s review, their review was no lie!

I’m from up north and have tasted some really good food, and I haven’t gotten that same authentic taste in Virginia. I’ve also had authentic Jamaican food at its best, so I’m very picky. But when I tell you Yaad Vybz got it… they got it!!!

I had the oxtail, mac n cheese, steamed veggies, chicken soup and jerk pork. While I waited for my food, I tried their Love Potion drink that was on the happy hour special. Not only was it good, it was refreshing.

The staff was very sweet. One thing I want to mention is that a person who got her food before me was actually in tears because the server must have given her a kind gesture that I didn’t hear. The customer was saying how she had a bad day and the server made her day better. I was very touched by that interaction.

When I tell y’all, if you ever want some tasty, flavorful Jamaican food, this is the place to go, no debate! I will definitely be coming here from now on whenever I’m on that side of the water.

“Very kind staff! Most recently I redeemed my bday reward at the drive thru for a croissant that I gave to my 7yo daughter. I was not in the best mood at the time but brightened up once my daughter told me “they wrote happy birthday” (look at the cute hearts!!). Sorry I didn’t notice at the time and thanks for going the extra mile to make me feel special! Also, a while back I went inside to order and remember that the associate was super kind to my daughter. “Do not let the exterior fool you, this place is gold. The interior could use some love but honestly it doesn’t bother me.

The girl behind the counter was kind, professional, and even gave me a bottle of Pepsi instead of a can because that was cold and the cans were still warm as she just restocked them. Just the thoughtfulness made me want to leave this review.

The two men behind the counter making the food were super friendly and very polite.

The pizza was crispy, had the right balance of cheese and sauce and could tell it was fresh.

I also ordered the stuffed shells and MAN. They were amazing. They cooked it just enough so the shells weren’t soggy and the cheese was crispy on top of the shells in all the right ways. 10/10.

The prices were awesome too, I didn’t walk away being like dang should I really have bought that after. I believe my bill was $19 for the soda, a slice, side salad, and shells.

I’ll be back to try other items on the menu because this place deserves more than 4.0 stars.“
