“Great food every time. I have been to the Norfolk location and the Virginia Beach location and they are both top notch. Everything I have tried is excellent. Last time we got the Smoke Stack Sammich, which includes brisket, pulled pork and their smoked sausage. It is so tasty and you get a bit of everything. The pork belly is great. The pork rinds are the best you can get. The wings with the dry rub are killer. We got the Tommy Boy, a sometimes Friday special, the best pastrami sandwich at the Beach. I haven't tried anything I didn't love yet. The staff is always on the move and is always very friendly. Already planning our next visit.“

“We had your ribs at the RibFest in Elkhorn Wisconsin. We waited in line for about 45 minutes, which we didn't mind doing expecting excellent ribs. We were very disappointed. the ribs were tough and chewy, and rare at the bone. We couldn't eat them because we didn't feel that eating raw pork was safe. I thought about going back up to the booth to complain, but you were really busy, and your staff was super friendly, so we just considered it a waste of $32. My friend took the ribs home, cooked them low and slow for 5 hours, and then they were delicious. I know running a food booth for something that takes so long to cook is a challenge, but serving raw pork keeps us from purchasing from you next year. I would not have written the negative comments for mediocre ribs, but it felt necessary for raw ribs“

I like to go to a place a few times before writing a review because fast food places are really fickle with service and quality these days, but this cookout gets my order correct everytime and they have good attitudes. I’ve come here a few times and have received my order correctly and with good service. I would say they’re a little slow for cookout, but my order is correct so I’m cool. I’m actually closer to the one on Monticello but I come to this one because unlike that one, they get my order correct with good service each time I come. Maybe the negative reviews are about the one on Monticello because they SUCK, get my order wrong everytime and have bad attitudes. Also, I have emphasized “gets my order correct” a few times because my order is particular and specific, but they do it correctly. Thanks yall! 🫶🏾“
